In a land far away,
In a time long forgotten,
There was once a creator,
A God some might say.

The creator was as much a human,
as his creations.
Just as domineering, arrogant,
As he was forgiving, affectionate.
Imperfect and passionate.

The world was filled,
With miracles, with misery,
With love, with wars,
With greed, with selflessness.

There was imperfect balance,
That kept the world going.
The creator was not content
With how the world was.

To create a better world,
The creator tried to create a miracle
A creation that would be what he could not be
Strong, kind, forgiving, benevolent.

Successfully creating the wonder,
Hesitation grew in his eyes.
Wondering the boys growth,
His future achievements.

To limit his growth,
A flawed place was bestowed the child.
There was some regret in creator's eyes.

The place did not allow the child
To show his potential
As he always felt that
He did not belong here.

Despite the restrictions,
The boy grew as intended, only limited
Which terrified the creator.

He placed shackles on the child,
Scared of his future.
To destroy some of his powers,
Not able to erase the boy,
After all he was his creation.

The boy was shifted
To another place
worse than previously.

The boy, unable to grow
Felt his potential destroyed
Felt helpless, felt hopeless,
Never faltering, he carried on.

As he turned older, now an adult,
The shackles could no longer hold him.
Spreading his wings wide
He soared to the skies.

The creator, terrified
Tried to replace the shackles,
But in his imperfect scramble
Ended up destroying the wings,
Letting him fall
From heaven to earth.

Questioning his existence,
The boy was in strife.
Why was he the way he was?

He did not know
Why he was here,
Why he was kind,
Why he cared,
Why him?

Why did the creator become
An obstacle to its own creation
To an existence that might help him?

Why did the creator
Do what he did,
Allow the creation to grow,
Not end the existence if it terrified him?
