All of the following novels have 200+ chapters and have one thing in common, I find them qualitatively better than similar novels in the same genres. If I am bored I would try to translate them a bit into German maybe, because I like them. I just tried to read the first Harry Potter book in German, but then I realized I like webnovels more. When I tried translating in the past, it was quite slow and hard, but interesting. It's gonna be the same still.

1. Legendary Moonlight Sculptor
2. Virtual World: Peerless White Emperor
3. Tales of demons and gods
4. Against the gods
5. Ze Tian Ji
6. A will eternal
7. The world online
8. Grandmaster strategist
9. World of cultivation
10. Praise the orc

1. The main character Weed has a fitting name, he is quite resilient, he also seems undying like a cockroach. He does everything to earn some money or gold, so that he can pay for the college fees of his little sister. He has a huge debt from his deceased parents iirc and has to raise his sister and take care of himself and her on his own. Therefore his sister very much looks up to him and loves him. Even though this all sounds quite sad and serious as a background, it will justify weeds actions in the virtual reality game or is the reason why his actions seem to make a lot of sense. Weed's adventures are funny and his personality is funny and this is a stark contrast to his kind of sad background. Because this novel can convey these different kind of feelings very well to the reader, I recommend it.
The novel also has romance, throughout the novel a one true pair is being developed. It's not even that easy, since the other girl in this novel is very interesting too imo.

2. The main character in this story is taking care of two little brothers, they all aren't blood related and a little sister, who isn't blood related to him, too. Nevertheless they still resemble a family in the way how they live together and do everything together.
A lot of important information about the main character and his family only will get slowly revealed over the few 400 ish of chapters. How people have to seperate is a theme here and there are 2-4 different stages where this novel takes place.
It's mainly the real world and the virtual world. Apart from this there is also something like an underworld and the space I believe. There are some unrequited loves here and some lover who has died for the mc, but not much mutual love, except for a brother of the mc. All the character are well defined and likeable. They aren't stupid, but unique in all of their ways.

3. When I chose between rebirth of the thief who roamed the world and this, I chose this. Even though rott... is ongoing and this is rather on a Stand-still I still chose this. Both are written by madsnail, and both are very good, but in comparison to the two novels before this, it's slightly weaker(the VR novel rott...). It's still good, but I feel like it's not as good as tdg.
Tdg has many moments, where the mc is in desperate situations and might die, which makes tdg more thrilling to me. As well as the fact that how madsnail creates this world was a first time experience because I hadn't read similar stories yet. The first thing you read always leaves a more positive memory I guess than things you read later. In both of madsnails novels the MCs get a second chance. They make everything better. Thinking about this I also very much like rott... But the world and locations in tdg are just too beautiful. The settings are ever changing. While in rott surely the gaming environment loves on as the mc levels up, but in real life there isn't too big of a change in locations and settings, except MC's graduation to college, his involvement with his fiance and the foundation of his family's company. I guess it has less new things to offer than the story in tdg which has infinite more possibilities, which madsnail should still surprise us with, if he decides to do so or if he can do so and doesn't get shackles down by his contracts or his wishes to earn more money with manga and anime. Maybe his lake of ideas for fantasy have dries up in regards to tdg or maybe he just wants to earn more or gas to earn more in this way. Either way it is sad, but as tdg is now it already is plenty and there will always be more room in the future if madsnail chooses to delay to continuing of the story, hopefully not until he dies. I like to compare tdg to hxh in how both are very good and on hiatus, but tdgs world feels more fun and big to me.

4. The mc in this novel was nicknamed as smooth che by some user in this forum. This nickname fits, because the mc handles the ladies very smoothly. Over the course of hundreds of chapters to over a thousand, new girls will appear. Each get about a hundred chapter screentime and the read will witness each time how smooth the mc can be.
But this is only one of the MCs qualities. I find him ruthless and just in his ruthlessness. The way he handles his first enemy is extremely cruel and depicted very vividly. If you read it, please give me some feedback of how you received it. For me it was one of the most memorable revenge moments. It was really intense. And it was one of the foundation stones of the novels, which made it so great for me. The mc travels a lot in this novel. There are at least 2 kingdoms or world's, which the mc frequents in the first 1000 chapters. Afterwards he will go to where one of the first and most important girls to the mc comes from. I haven't read the last part much yet. This novel is different to all the other recommended novels in my list here in the regard, that it slightly describes few sex scenes more. All in all everything is well written and gives you the wish to read more, because the author creates more new and unexpected action in the novel with each chapter and arc. It's not your everyday cliche novel where stupid young masters get thrown into the bin each next chapter, but the enemies have their background and time to shine as well, or to be anticipated by the reader and give the reader expectations for some more complicated conflicts.

5. In this story the protagonist feels more like a weak scholar from the get go. His characteristics are that he is very clean, humble, careful, strict, disciplined in his routine and that he doesn't have any scent. The last part is an important plot point in the story afaik. In few novels I have seen a character so obstinate regarding cleanliness and health, but this is all very logical, because the mc is limited by time. In this novel you can see a very good example of a person who doesn't have much to left and does everything to be able to live a little bit more, even if it's just a day or two. It reminds people of the importance of eating their green veggies. I forgot the term used in the novel but it was not veggies. Now I remember it was green pepper, a repeated and enjoyable theme in the novel. The MCs relationships to other character is more like a teacher to students, even though he is young. But maybe because his time is nigh he matured faster and is more mature. The other second most interesting character for me was Tang 36. His name sounds peculiar. He chose this name to reach a goal. He is mature too, but also childish. The reader very much gets to learn the ideals and ideologies of each character. Sometimes the novel is like beautiful poems. I think both author as well as translator are awesome. It shoes in a good example how a good translator can also fascinate the reader imo. In the journey of this story the mc travels far. There is a church of orthodoxy and other believes. It's like religions in the real world, but simpler and with less conflicts. I like this conflicts in this novel, be it between churches, schools, races, or world's.

6. Recently I saw how people complained about the stereotype of novels having a fattie who is friends with the protagonist. In this novel you have a group of fatties. They are all brothers. The mc is one of them too at some point. I guess this takes the fattie cliche to another level.
The story is humorous at times, intense and dramatic at other times. The mc evolves for himself, his relationships and the reader over the course of hundreds of chapters. I didn't finish the novel because I had reached the latest chapter and stopped reading at some point. But the start was very strong. I think it got a little bit weaker and I don't know the ending. But the start in itself had it's unique moments, as er gen created them often times in his other novels too. For me this story beat the other stories of er gen slightly. It was close between this and renegade immortal.
In this novel the mc is also someone very afraid of death and therefore strives for immortality. The whole sect situation in the first arcs feels wholesome. The mc somehow gets through with stealing very expensive and special chickens of a sect elder. This was a very entertaining part to read.
The alchemy system his the first arcs was also quite exceptional in this novel. Compared to other novels it was more entertaining and unique. The exams the mcs did here, and the tournaments are normal themes in these kind of novels, but that's where the author excelled too, in making it better than similar novels in comparison.

7. Now getting to the things I found more serious and less comical. A lot of history Chinese figures get introduced in this novel. Even though it is also a novel with a gaming world part, the gaming world part here is unique. In this novel the humanity is about to evacuate everybody to an inhabitable place by humans in the universe. This serves as a background. And on the surface we have people, who show how their abilities in leading humanity in the new world they want to live in, are. And here we have an mc who gets a second chance, as in he traveled back in time iircs. In his previous life in the future he had no chance, due to his financial weakness and the fact that he is an average person and not a person of political influence in the world, who all have adventages in the game provided to them by the governments. It's a novel about kingdom building, strategies and see one chances with the reintroduction of historical people like generals into the game from different kind of countries, but mostly focused on Chinese historical figures as this story mainly takes place in china. The mc has a little sister who he protects and raises. She is cute and liked by all, even the virtual reality ai game master. The rivalries in this novel are all enjoyable. Opponents will become allies. First it's the struggle for the leadership in china. After that comes the struggle for the leadership of the world in the game.

8. Here we have a weak scholar as well as the mc. He is the person behind everything, the wars, the downfall of countries and reigning sects. All he wants is a leisure life without political involvements. But the rulers have no chance but to employ. Martial arts is important, the mc can't exercise it due to his health, it was a gift by destiny that he received a student, who also is a brother to him to protect him in this aspect.
In this novel we have a bit of Chinese history and poems. It's quite interesting. The story can at times bring a tear to the eye with the emotional poems and the fates of the characters. The romance of this novel was very good. At times saddening, at times bringing a smile to the reader.

9. This is the novel I have read the least chapters of in this list. The reason it is included is because it's well written imo. The settings might be quite stale, so far, maybe because I haven't read very far, but the mc is interesting. His background is not all that known to the reader at the beginning and slowly bits and pieces are being remembered by the mc and explained to the reader. I liked the cute Loli in the story. I like cute things, please don't call the cops. When reading to the latest chapters of the world online and grandmaster strategist I remembered this story because it uses some Chinese terms. I like those too. The mc got some issues with money, because he has a money sucking demon as companian. No it's not a woman lol, it's a dead spirit or something, something evil lol, no offense to women, I thought this sounded funny, because husband's sometimes use similar metaphors I heard?

10. At first I didn't want to add it to the list, I still did. This novel was short and wholesome. A Korean webnovel, it reminded me of a book from world of world craft called the dark gates or something, well because of orcs in this story. Each action was logical I think. The mc was heroic and a real hero. The question of what is living and whether you are really living is being asked a lot but the real and good orcs in this story. It makes you think about this seemingly trivial question. It gives some value to living I think. The world was about to collapse by some calamity, but we could slowly accompany the hero step by step in his arduous journey to overcome fate and do something impossible, a miracle.

@Alisha, the one on Webnovel? If the name or search on NU returns unanswered, then it must be an Original.

Also, World of Cultivation was a good novel. The part near the end is not so well done but as expected of Chinese novels.

@L4 thx man for the details :blobokhand:
As For Atg the first enemy he handled i think it was a fellow from the xiao clan where he did quite a gory and bloody stuff I remember he was the first one he handled :hmm: but later on until where i have read except for picking women I don’t think he dealt with the other enemies as same as the guy from Xiao clan even when his lovely sister was kidnapped which he hold so dear he didn’t do anything like that it was like a change in nature which I think is quite a contrast... do correct me if i am wrong I haven’t been reading it for quite some time my memory is hopeless :notlikeblob: ...if I write more I won’t be able to remember what i am saying :blob_coughblood: i wil end it here :blobpopcorn_cool:

@Indiboy Fair enough. I will translate within my means though. Slow and steady. I cannot afford to translate 30 chapters of one novel a month. I need to diversify
