It suddenly dawned on me that the quality of Inazuma's main story might be done badly, intentionally.
With the deep-rooted hatred by mainlanders to Japanese, it's not hard to imagine that they might pressured miHoYo to badly wrote Inazuma's main story just to spit on the Japanese.
Incompetent leader, both on Shogun and Rebel faction, that prolonged the war and caused suffering to almost every Inazuma's citizens, wrecked havoc on their country. The badly written ending where everything was solved amicably without minding the death tolls. The egoistic ‘almost-childish’ nature of Raiden that trigger Vision Hunt for her own personal goal.
Everything pointed to how badly the Japanese (the country Inazuma was based on) Government doing their job.
……but, eeh…… as we all know, miHoYo is known to be… a bit anti government. So in retaliation, they focus more on side stories and character interactions.
I noticed how the side stories in Inazuma seems… richer compared to Liyue's. NPCs are depicted more humane with each of their emotions; sympathy, grieves, longing, love, regret, greed, ambition, everything mixed up, emphasizing the complexity of human being.
Compared to Liyue's NPCs that often talk about contract this, contract that, money, money, money, I swear they are so monotone.
… Though there are few notable stories (in my opinion), for example about Hutao's and Sal Terae.
tl;dr I feel like Inazuma is basically miHoYo and that political party doing stupid banter as usual.
How classic. Never change, miHoYo. Never change…
My take on Inazuma's sh¡t shows 【Genshin Impact】
