Do I Really? (Poems)

People sometimes ask me,
if I regret meeting him.
I would smile and give a little nod.
But do I really?

You gave scars that have now turned into scabs.
But do I really regret it?
When you saved me for a while from the darkness,
even though I know that you didn't and you'll never realize that

So do I really regret it?
Maybe I do,
Keep writing letters and poems that I know will never be sent to you
Maybe I don't,
Since time somehow flies
and the calendar keeps changing when I blink my eyes

But what does that have to do with me anymore?
We're just one inch away from the word strangers
