Again, this is a transcript taken directly from Discord chat logs. Please excuse any irregularities in capitalization, punctuation, and/or grammar. This one is fairly short, and went on a loop for 2~3 times before I woke up.

arite, i'm here to talk about another dream again, whee this one was less involved than that sea people one i dreamed a while back but eh, it left an impression

so some time in the future something happens to the earth and we lose all sunlight i'm not sure whether something got between the sun and us or what, but one day out of the blue, all the lights are sucked out of the sky heck, even the stars are gone

in its place is a vast gaping blackness that kind of...draws you in i think the best way to describe it would be like Vantablack, a substance that absorbs all but like 0.035% of light

lyk dis yo

anyways for some reason i either quit my job or take a vacation, i dunno what and go to stay with family for a while we're all kinda just chilling at home with the lights on all the time (because you can't see anything otherwise), going through the food supplies that slowly dwindle

obviously, agriculture dies out on earth i'm not sure what kind of high-techy labs are growing crops with artificial light or wutever, but obviously countries don't have protocols to do that on a wide scale and support their citizens so we're all kinda stuck

because of the lack of sunlight, temperatures on earth plummet as well most humans are reduced to just living indoors so they don't have to brace the cold, dead environment outside it's also far more dangerous when you can't see anything i'm not sure how we still have a steady supply or electricity, water, heating, etc but it just....sorta works?

so basically everyone's isolated themselves into little family units and kinda lives by waiting it out for some reason we're all very calm aside for the constant lingering dread and foreknowledge that we're prolly all going to die at some point

you'd think there'd be panic and widespread chaos but the darkness itself has a numbing effect on its own
people grow....apathetic, and accept the inevitable end that's coming some are even optimistic enough to hope that the sun will come back again

--

it doesn't.

the funny thing is, you think that death will be the end of it as we all fade away and get reduced to specks of intangible dust in an all out world of black
i think we were all slowly starving by the end, but again, everything felt so numb that you didn't really notice it beyond your limbs getting weaker

there was no real suffering perhaps that was the sole mercy that our senses were dulled

but anyways, before i die i somehow "reset" and return to the past, moments before we lost the sun and experience it all over again

then i realize my family's reliving the past with me and we're all basically stuck in a cycle of light > darkness > starvation > near death > repeat there is no end, only eternity an immortality that grants an entire life beneath the specter of death

forever.

Mm it would have been sad >~< I don't like the feeling of being chased in dreams because it makes you wake up suddenly.

      Dreams are such odd things.

That's just horrible! It sounds more like a nightmare than a dream!
