Today I randomly came across an article about a cheese called Casu Marzu. It was not a great read but still interesting. However, I would never try it.

Growing up, I've always had this idea that the west set what we consider as 'normal food. However, once I get to have access to information I realized that each country around the world may have their own unique and exotic food; and their citizens may or may not like these foods.

Take my country, the Philippines, for example, we have several foods here which people may love or hate. These include dried fish, fermented fish, and balut (boiled fertilized duck egg).

I can never bring myself to eat balut, but I admit I'm curious. As for the dried and fermented fish, people might be put off by their smell and appearance.

My world before I graduated from high school has always been limited to my town. When I finally ventured to the city and gained complete access to the internet, I found out that other countries have their own share of smelly foods as well.
