As I was peacefully splashing in the hotspring..my newly gifted pretty dress and comfy tennies lying on a nearby rock
Thinking how beautiful the sky was littered with fluffy clouds..
I think one resembled a goose..maybe a Mandarin duck?
I was having a spirited conversation with Fate who had popped by to say hello
How do you calculate meetings.. partings.. the moments of brushing by each others fated path..veering away.. collisions that occur.. I'm curious to know
Can that fateful meeting be avoided or are our destinies set in stone?
Emmy was feeling so fresh and airy
Her spirit recently renewed by the laughter of a friend.such a sweet vibe
Then she heard a disturbance coming from the nearby forest where the silent tree resides
The forest that is dark even in the sunlight.. no light can penetrate its depths
The darkness seems unaproachable and thick
But, she couldn't resist the impulse to see what might be wrong
Fate extended its hand and pulled her to the grass
She hurriedly slipped into her dress and tennies not bothering to dry her hair
Emmy ran as fast as she could into the dismal forest
She saw a woodcutter about to strike his ax upon the tall tree
She screamed Stop! please don't hurt the silent tree
The startled man looked at the disheveled girl
He replied it will make a fine table and chairs
Emmy said I will give you all my treasure thats buried here if you leave the silent tree untouched
She caught her breath and negotiations were settled
The leaves rustled and the branches swayed
Emmy heard a whispering sound carrying the tree's words
Go away.. I didn't ask you to come.. leave here don't come back...I'm weary of my memories.. leave me to fate..
So the unyielding tree does hold memories dark and sad she thought, it seemed in pain as its leaves fell to the ground
Please don't welcome the woodcutter's ax!
She gathered her feelings to leave
Her newly gifted dress in tatters from her hurried run..her comfy tennies muddied
I will still always run to you tree..
She could hear Fate laughing and shaking its head at the hotspring saying
Emmyy.. Emmyy..Emmyy..
Will you never learn?
