I just wanted to put this out somewhere... (It's not very good imo I rarely write poems)

Dedicated to Gran, who passed away two years ago.

The past and the future are illusions,
Figments of our imagination.

Let us embrace the present,
And the gifts that it gives;
Let us cherish the moment,
And the feelings that it creates;
Let us cheer and remember,
These fleeting moments of now,
As our past--a guidance for our future;
And let us forever etch in our hearts,
These fleeting moments of now,
And the people who are with us.

      I love it! When the sentence 'let us embrace the present... let us cherish the moment' it resonates with me. It remind of my mother who passed away a few years ago, and at that time I felt like living in the past and trapped. Now I am happy, I can embrace the present and cherish this moment. :)
