@mr.heavy-rea- I mean @listener you made me want to write/rant a few words on how I perceive my English.

Well, English is absolutely not my first language. English is not what would come most naturally to me when I, say, curse. But then, I believe it is what I am most grammatically affluent at. At least for the reading and writing part, rather than speaking part of the language. So if anyone tells me, I suck at English spelling and grammar, you're basically saying I could have been illiterate (?) Because I know no language better at it's depths than English. It takes me way less time to read a sentence or even word in English than it takes me to read one in Bengali (my first language).

Minor typos embarrass me, but there are some things I cannot blame on the lack of grammatical sense. I remember once typoing "But it is even less softcore than your past!"... Well. Probably my unconscious self projecting myself to write either "less hardcore" or just "softcore" but I ended up blundering it up in a hurry and wrote it like that. Damn... Embarrassing especially since I had been pointed that out. Well yes, sometimes we commit "mistakes" by "mistake".

I think I had only been called on my "bad" English online while arguing against someone. They were like, "I am sorry? I don't get you cause English probably ain't your first language." Lol...

Look who is being told that... If anything, I think I might be a Grammar Nazi.

@Lurking, as an easy way to remember, I always thought of preposition to be a word which states the relative position between two noun(s) and/or pronoun(s). ^^

I am sitting on my bed

On is the preposition here as it states the relative position between me and the bed.

      Ahaha.

You should understand, many times an english as a second language speaker has better grammer or sentence structure than a native english speaker.
Because native english speakers learned english by osmosis, mainly. While esl people learned it consciously?

I don't know what a preposition is. I recognise the word, and that its a part of a sentence. Idk what it is.

i rarely found members with broken English in forums...
but in OL chats, that was a disaster...

you actually put my feelings in words~~~ yea i also agree, even tho English is not my first language or second, i take pride in my understanding of English grammar and vocabs...
i could at least pass TOEFL at average score without studying!!!

some minor mistake, i could tolerate...but don't make mistake at the basic of all basic (like then, than, they, they're, their) i feels like 'are you looking for a fight?!!?!'
