Housewife rants - Feeding my toddler who think he's old enough to eat by himself.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner... It's always would end up with unspeakable mess like a food war. Once the baby is finished the food would be all over the table, chair and floor.

So mommy had to clean up again.

I can't help it when the baby refused to be fed, he even said "no no no no" in the cutest way telling me he want to eat by himself. So what to do?

Husband said "let him eat by himself, let him learn to use his hands, it's only a clean up later anyway"... Haha. He said it so easily, glad he was there to help me clean up the mess after dinner.

One day my mom comes over for a visit and she bought me this big plastic basin. It makes me remember back when I had to take care of my brothers, I'd use this kind of big basin to feed them. One for each boy.

The mess would stay inside and all I had to do isis wash this basin. Save me from cleaning the floor, the table and the chair...

That is until he is big enough to sit and eat without spilling his food everywhere.
