More pain is flooding my body. I can feel it deep in my boooooonnnnneeeesss.
I will die soon.
I think...

"..."

Even though I want to scream, nothing comes out. Have my lungs given up already? A pity for sure.

...

.....

Ggwp? Am I just going to die and call it a lifetime?

Hmmm... I do kinda feel like logging off for lunch.

"...ey...ar...you...lrig...HE...Y!"

Oh. My ears work. That's neat I guess.

"KAZEKO! GE...HELP...URR...!"

Sir. You're kinda lou—ACKk...

It hurts.

Would you... hurry... please?

My conscious recedes.

I wonder what it's like to breathe J-Pop. Or maybe a holiday... like Valentines! Actually, never mind. I'm not feeling choco right now.

...

Why am I thinking about breathing...?

...

"GASP!"

I'M ALIVE HOOORRRRAAAYYYY!?—
Wait. Something was just covering my face just now.

My eyes shoot open with renewed vigor, and as they focus, strands of orange fur appear. Each of which is attached to a fluffy tail. No... Tails? Why are there two tails?

Actually why was I suffocating from tails in the first place?

"Ah, you're awake.... I thought you were going to remain in a coma forever."

A childish voice comments to my right, laced with nonplus. I, of course, turn my head to see my would-be murderer.

...

We stare at each other for a couple of seconds, neither of us moving. I've even forgotten to breath.

"?"

She forms a questioning face, using her tail to prod my own face as I'm in shock.

"Why do you look like you've just fought with mom? You didn't do anything did you?"

"No... Uh, who are you?"

She's a flippin fox girl. The kind you find in oriental isekai stories. She's even wearing some version of miko clothing, the red and white color scheme present in all. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTT IIIISSSS HAAAAPPPEEEENNNIIIINN—

"I'm Ameko!" She smiles warmly... and pats my head.

"Uhm, since you're awake, I need to tell mom."

"Ok."

...

She continues to stare at me.

...

"Can you please lift your head?"

"Oh. Sorry."

...

....

That lap pillow was neat.

It's been about a week since I've woken up.

It turns out, I was on the ground in critical condition within a large forest. And as I was being dragged into a lethal embrace with death, Kazeko's husband found me. Kazeko being a kind fox-demon... thing?
I'm not quite sure to be honest.

Her husband is a human though; that I know for sure. Although, that's one of the few things I know about him. One other bit of knowledge being that he likes berries. Or so he says. He claims that he was searching around in the forest I was in for a special berry.
I don't see him eating his 'beloved' berries often.

Kazeko and her husband, Souma, have four daughters.

Ameko, Kumiko, Yumeko, and Yoruko.

Ameko is by far the youngest of the lot, at the age of 14. She's quite innocent, yet at the same time not...
Kumiko is the oldest, at the age of 20. Kazeko wants her to stay here until she finds someone to marry, much to Kumiko's chagrin.
Yumeko is—

"What're you writing~?" Ameko stares at the foreign letters I am using... whilst also patting my head again.

Am I supposed to be a pet? Kazeko did say she took care of me while I was in a coma but....

"Come on, tell meeeeee!"

"No," I look back at the journal I was writing in before gently pushing Ameko out of my room.

I mean it when I note 'gently'... Kazeko's beauty refuses to remain unacknowledged.

Even in her successors... Even in young Ameko.

...

Not that I dislike eye candy.

Right... Where was I?

Ameko struggled against me for awhile but gave up at the sight of my deadpan expression.

"Ahhhh... fine. Just play with me later instead. Ok?" She turns around and walks off towards the northern garden, without waiting for a reply.
———————————————————————————————————————————————————
Made this out of boredom. It's not suppose to be anything serious.

Edit: I've decided to mess around with this more.
———————————————————————————————————————————————————

I leave the room they've lent to me and head south towards Yumeko's room. Today she asked me to help her again— with her art skills that is. Not that I'm an amazing artist, as I've told her many times over.

Nonetheless, she intends to show off her skills.

Sigh~

It can be boring at times, but she really is capable. That said... I must complain about her subjects.

Which is men, or young boys.

...

It's some sort of preference for sure. Perhaps not the kind an average person might expect— Not that I hold it against her. I can kinda understand her reasoning with it...

*ahem*

I come across her jarring door after some time, still unsettled with how it's decorated with sketches in every corner. From top to bottom, ink is spread over it with no shred of mercy.

"Yumeko, I'm here. May I come in?"

...

....

Ok. No reply. Do I go in?

....

No. Of course not. What if she's changing or something? I don't want to get involved with something troublesome like that. That's too much m8.

...

Guess I'll just wait here then... or I thought so. Yumeko is walking over here dressed in some other clothing that I'm unfamiliar with. Rather, I'm unfamiliar with all the clothing. It was kinda embarrassing asking for assistance too...

"Oh, sorry," Yumeko opens her door and steps inside, disregarding all the random paper she's left on the floor. "Can you come over here?" She quickly gestures to a chair before grabbing a clean sheet of paper.

"So... are we drawing that boy from the teriyaki stand that we saw yesterday?" I ask preemptively, considering how long she stared at him.

Or maybe she was staring at the teriyaki. It's hard to tell.

She looks down at the sheet of paper for a few moments, "No. I was thinking about drawing you for once..."

I don't know how I feel about this. She usually draws yao— other stuff.

"But since you mentioned him, I might as well add him too."

Pls no.

"Y-yes," she grins with her pencil clenched tightly in her fists, "and it can be in the evening behind the—" I've left her room at this point, fearful of what she will inevitably draw. In this situation, retreat is the only option.
