What I really like about this novel is, the comedy flows lightly. It's not unreasonable or anything. The characters are distinctive enough to make you remember them. Also, another plus for being a great read when you are bored (and can be reread!)

Lin Qian, a girl who was not so great at studying and got caught when she was jumping from the school's wall, suddenly found out that she suddenly time traveled after she slept in her dad's old bedroom. It was funny and fun to be read.

Lin Wangzhou, a high school student, was in shock after he found out that a girl was sleeping on his bed. But wait, that girl insisted that he's her dad?

I like the initial response of Lin Wangzhou and his family when they first found out about his daughter, Lin Qian. It's very realistic because they couldn't accept it, at least not before they could prove that Lin Qian, is Lin Wangzhou's daughter.

The ending is fine. Don't expect a twist or anything.

This novel is simply heartwarming and light. The good and distinct characters give some spices to the story's dynamics. The plot should not be taken too seriously though, as it doesn't really have a big plot (did I write the term right?). I mean, maybe this is because I skimmed through the chapters, but there's no explanation why the children got sent to the past. So, if you're someone who puts heavy importance on these details and plots, let me warn you before you jump in.

Spoiler: OKAY, MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD

Now, it's getting even funnier. After proving Lin Qian's identity, Lin Wangzhou's parents decided to send her to Lin Wangzhou's school. Not only that, they put her in the same class too. Thus, the funny interactions between father and daughter started to unfold.

Anyway, just funny to see how Lin Qian, -this little adorable ball- tried to convince her grandparents and dad, that she's a good child!

What I really love is the natural interactions between Lin Wangzhou and Lin Qian. Especially the part where Lin Qian realized that she believed her father's lie about him always being in the first place. I still laugh whenever I read the chapter where he said, "Well, Lin Qian, Dad does it for your own good,"

After they got sent to a village because they disappointed Lin Wangzhou's parents, they met Tong Yao, the smart girl who lived with her grandparents. The father and daughter pair lived in her house. After the failed search of her mother in her dad's school, Lin Qian finally found her mother..... Tong Yao! Our cute Lin Qian was like a cat towards Tong Yao.

I love the couple and their children, yes, children, not just daughter, because one day their son -which Lin Qian never expected-, came to them too. His name is Lin Jiayan

What I love about Tong Yao and Lin Wangzhou is, they could easily take care of their children, but whenever that they remembered that they were their children's parents, it would get awkward between them, they weren't a couple after all (even so, sparks happened even earlier because of their children).

But Tong Yao and Lin Wangzhou really tried their best so they could be present for their children. Providing their child with both, affection and emotional support.

In the later part of the story, it focuses more on Lin Qian and Fu Congyuan's romance with little mentions of Tong Yao and Wangzhou, which is kinda disappointing.

Then, there's this one part where they met an old friend. Which somehow makes me feel nostalgic and sad even though it's not even written deeply in the story. That simply hits hard differently. Like a sudden but soft thump. The story only talked about how Tong Yao and Wangzhou lost contact with some old friends after they graduated and stopped seeing each other.

So, do I recommend you to read this? Well, definitely. Read this after you've read an intense read. This novel is very calm and not dramatic. Read this for healing yourself with something warm and some laughs.

The novel's distinct characters and excellent jokes are great. You can't help but fall in love with the characters. My favorite couple will always be Tong Yao and Lin Wangzhou even though I can't deny Lin Qian's and Fu Congyan's cuteness. Tong Yao - Lin Wangzhou couple doesn't have intense interactions unlike their daughter's, but their awkwardness is very cute and endearing in its own way.

Once again, the story is not intense and can be quite boring (I even struggle to finish the novel). If you are someone who cares about details like; why, how, or things like that (like, why did the children go back to the past?) then I'll warn you to not think about them. Just toss out those explanations on the back of your head, it will be worth it, at least in my opinion.
