What is existence, anyway? Apart from our physical existence composed of chemical elements, we can exist purely inside our own minds and we can also exist in the minds of those we interact with. Which of these three is proper existence? Or, is it a combined effect of all of them?
Yesterday I saw the news of someone's death, a renowned author and poet. Her ex-husband had given a statement reminiscing about her talent and it was simply formal. They had spent quite some time together and raised kids. Still, it seemed that her existence had already become a simple matter of past to him, a part of life experiences and nothing more.
Perhaps, this is the way of life? All things pass and become a part of the dreary and monotonous existence that is our 'Past'?
Where is my own existence in it? Can I exist on my own, irrespective of those interactive and mutual existences which are already a part of the past?
@Emmyy, it was your Rambling which suddenly prompted me to write something
My Existence
