So this is about a pair of lovers that were given second chance to undo their mistakes. MC(shou) is a bishop which will eventually become a pope, while ML(gong) is a general that will become the marshall. So they are basically lovers to enemies, and had a lot of misunderstandings in between.

The story is quite intricate, there are 4 timelines involved, and each timeline has a character that comes over to another timeline.

• Timeline 1- is where their tragedy happened.
• Timeline 2- is where they tried to undo their mistakes but failed.
• Timeline 3- is actually a continuation of timeline 2 but the ending differs
• Timeline 4- is where MC's bestie came from, he was the one who pushed the timeline 2 to timeline 3.

So basically it is a story of the undoing the past in order for the humanity to survive. In the 1st timeline, after the ML died, the humanity is in a brink of perish, so the survivors of humanity went to timeline 2 to save the ML, he is basically the hero of humanity but he died in the hands of MC, this is where the misunderstanding happened. For 10 years MC contradicted ML in everyway and did everything in order to weaken ML's power, ML is a love brain so he did concede. ML died since he went to the trap MC made for him, this made the MC the traitor of humanity. In timeline 2 it was revealed that every bad thing that MC did actually was not done by the MC since in that 10 years MC was in coma. The death of ML in timeline 1 became the heart knot of the MC since he really loves the ML to the bone. What he saw when he arrived in their appointment was the bloody cold body of ML so MC goes crazy when somebody tries to hurt the ML. Everything can actually be simplified but those survivors from timeline 1 was actually trying to kill the MC since he was labelled as the traitor. They are trying to change the past in order to change the future, so they succeed and killed the MC causing civil and military war. This pushed through to timeline 3 since MC's bestfriend saved him before he died, and this is where happy ending happened.

Quite complicated ain't it, but the beginning and middle of the story is real good but the ending is rushed, there are a lot of unsolved problems and I think at least 2 more arcs os needed to complete the whole series, sadly it was ended abruptly.

MC and ML has 3 children, tbh all througout the story, my favorite character is the 2nd child. He came from timeline 1, and his existence was not know by his parents in either timeline 1 or 2, it was only said almost at the end. He loves his brother's(deceased) lover, he was hated by everyone since he was know as the traitor's son. He sacrificed his life in order to kill the mutated zergs in timeline 2 (he survived). He was the most tragic character there, almost everyone in timeline 1 was reincarnated to timeline 2, they lived their life happily but the 2nd child bears all the unpleasant memories and childhood. Author tried to pair him to the scientist but there were no closure.

Tbh, it ends in happily but it really leaves a bitter taste. The romance is a real fluff but the back story of the characters are freaking heavy. Everyone has their own story and a past they regret. I really pity the 2nd child till the end, eventhough he had obtained a complete family but everything he had been through is really sad.
