We often judge celebrities and say things like "Idk why is s/he dating him/her?! The last one was cuter!" "No way! This isn't the ship I want!" "It's probably the guy's/girl's fault!" "I bet it won't last" "He is gay!"

We express our consent/dissent about other couples especially celebs as if it was our personal business.... We say things like "Oh the guy is so hot, why would he date such an average girl like her?" at least in our culture, women gossiping like this is common. Come on? People can't have their own choices? It's their personal lives... Their choice, they are happy with each other...

As disturbing I find it when a couple makes out in front if me, as ridiculous I find it when people judge the compatibility of the couple just by what they see... And gossips. I mean... I was always like "Ok? So what do I have to do with?"

Probably why even if I am aware of what celebs perform on stage, but I don't know much about their lives outside the stage... I was surprised my roommate knows about Joe Jonas when she isn't into American pop songs... Maybe because Nick Jonas got married to a Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and that was a big news? I on other hand haven't heard of anything, nor do I care...

Even if you were to ask me, what did I like more in the song Senorita? It is kinda a blast among the romantic songs at least where I am from. While I thought the music video was cute, I obviously liked it more because in some ways I found that relatable... (And Shawn Mendez the hottie). But it seems gossips regarding the couple had spread far and wide even before they officially declared anything... Oh wells...

When I think of the amount of judgement and hate celebs have to face... Even I can't handle gossips... They must be fucked up in another level....

      Celebrities sell their private lives.

Its their decision most of the time- often they do it intentionally afaik

Im not interested in buying the private lives of strangers tho

Well you see it is in the nature of most people to judge others. But the more literate people become and the people they associate with shapes their mentality. Also considering the country we are living in, you would find the most hateful type of people here as many people are illiterate in the first place and well as other idiots gossip, the ones with sensibilities also get swept in their momentum and this leads to sheep mentality and add on all these factors you get half of the population made of idiots like these:facepalm:

      Well...not what I was thinking.

Sports dads that couldn't get into pro sports essentially forcing their son to play hard and do nothing else. Dance moms. I dont know if this is racist but Asian parents. It is such a stereotype that we want other people to live the so called 'perfect' life that they go too far and force it onto others.

@Evil_Ginger ofc I mean it the same way parents abd family do it to their children... What's their business? I don't get it how is it rape if the girl wants to have sex... Unlike some parents who "warn" the girl otherwise....

It is projecting. We all have an ideal in our heads and those kinds of people tend to desire a perfect dream. Usually, they want that celeb's life and them not living the way the fans want goes against that dream.

Like an insane person or something.

Parents do it to their kids.
