Purborag, or prerogation as Mr. Google translates it! Oh God! What am I supposed to do with this 'prerogation'? Does it even come closer to the word, the meaning of which I am going to convey to you here?!

Let me explain it then.

This word, in Sanskrit literature, refers to the blossoming of love in the heart of the woman-protagonist. Sorry, men are generally kept out of its scope.

There is little scope here to go into the details of the way this feeling has been described in Classic Vaishnav literature, and obviously, I have no expertise in this field.

I shall only describe how this feeling may come into play in our world.
'Rag' means love, affection. 'Purbo' means what comes before. So, this is the feeling that is the precursor of love in a girl's heart.

How it begins? Through a casual glance, a hearing of a voice, a casual brushing against each other in a crowded place, a casual chat in a virtual chatbox...and the list goes on.

And what, actually, is this before-love feeling about? Well, it's about unexplainable agitation, unreasonable blushing and god-knows-why stirring of butterflies in one's stomach. It's about throwing your reason to the wind without any reason at all and submit to your inner world. (Beware! This can be very dangerous, for it may, eventually, lead to depression, complete withdrawal from real world and, God forbid! even to death!)

There is one strange thing about this feeling. The one whose heart flutters under its slow breeze, doesn't realize anything about it! Her sleep and apetite gone, her mind agitated and her gait brisker, she just remains oblivious to the fact that her heart is opening up towards someone...like a flower blossoming up towards the morning sun...

I am sorry to say that only the female Homo Sapiens are entitled to this feeling as per classical literary scholars. So, men here, please do not feel envious until someone comes with a better explanatory word for the beginning of love in your hearts!
