I don't know what's going with my brain that I tend to pronounce lmao as 'lamaaw' then I realized, maybe because it's easier and faster that way. I don't think I will ever pronounce it as 'ell-em-ay-oh' or 'ell-em-eff-ay-oh.' That's too time-consuming! I even pronounced lol as 'lawl,' forget 'el-oh-el'. I don't have that dedication.

The same mechanic applied to some people pronouncing 1,200 as 'twelve hundred' instead of 'one thousand two hundred.' Obviously, the former was faster than the latter.

I can't believe my first post was about this insignificant thought. :notlikeblob:

In my mother language everything is pronounced as it is written and It's not like how some Italians claim that about their language, when in fact they have some weird letters for pronouncing something softer or rougher etc etc. I mean it when I say "pronounced as it is written", so when I was a complete beginner at english and had no clue nor sense or feeling of how certain words, phrases or abbreviations should be pronounced and especially since in georgian you have words like "mtsvrtneli" with a lot of consonants stacked together, I didn't even pronounce it as "lamaaw", but rather I just said "lmao". So you should know that at least there are people more miserable than you!

I never thought of the same mechanic applied to some people pronouncing 1,200 as 'twelve hundred' instead of 'one thousand two hundred.' Obviously, the former was faster than the latter like this before. I say the easiest way because why bother? On a serious note, children should learn how to say the exact numbers correctly before making shortcuts. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
