Pretty sure this is a relatable topic, but why the f#ck do visiting family members comment on my appearance (particularly that I'm kind of balding and I used to have terrible acne). I don't go around saying "why you got so fat".

:blobtired: is it to gain some perceived advantage against me? "you're balding so you're inferior." Yeh well the last guy who recently asked why I'm balding is straight up bald so he can't judge. The lady who asked me before him is not bald but her son is. A freaking priest asked me what is going on with my face. Like how do I answer a question like that?

Sometimes I wonder where people learned their manners from. It just seems weird for them to say stuff like that to someone's face. I wonder if it's cause I'm younger then them so they think there are no consequences...there will be consequences:blobdevil::blobspearpeek::blobcat_knife:
Low effort rant over.

I can relate to this in the way that I'm the one that tells people off for their appearance. My cousin who is the same age as me recently has married and had a son. I told her she doesn't looks any different from before her pregnancy. Meaning I'm telling her she is still as fat as ever. Honestly though to me it is just another ordinary comment. If it hurts her by me telling her so, so far she has not say anything. Among my cousins and relatives, things like your appearance, your marriage(or lack of) and career pretty much are the topics of year. We didn't really discuss what are we doing now, or how are you or the latest gossips. We pretty much just insult each other and move on.

Can relate to this but to my weight. Relatives will always comment that I gained weight or that i got left in the kitchen as a child (you know - overeating). I never knew how to reply so I tend to not not visit at all haha.

Re hair, Im not balding but my hair fall is increasing huhu. Im looking to buy castor oil as I heard it helps.

      *reads rants and comments*
*looks at unopened stockpiled beauty products from over the years*

I'd like to think they weren't backhandedly telling me that I'm ugly
I'm the cutest, who needs beauty products?!? At least they'll make good gifts to other people.

I'd try not to take it personally, I sometimes use words that can be insulting to describe people but I dont try to be malicious about it.
I do however get annoyed when people make snide comments and are trying to get you to conform to what they think is 'right' and 'proper'. You're trying to 'help me'? Whatever makes you sleep better at night the damn arseholes

I like my beard. Too lazy to shave everyday. I keep it a thin chinstrap for the most part.

Beard!! I love mine but it makes look sooo much older that I prefer going clean shaved.
Can’t believe I became one of those adults who want to look young...
      lol

@Lonelycity my mom does look younger and I do look older cause of my beard...I'm growing my hair back so I don't need transplants.

At least ppl don’t do a double take when you say the woman next to you is your mom and not your elder sister....
Shrug that’s how it is mate.
Just go with the flow and be as nonchalant as you can be...
Or get a hair transplant done. I plan to get a graft done later on~~~
      So there you go

Note 1 : I am not bald XD just balding...
Note 2: I just look a couple of years older than what I am. Mom on the other hand looks a decade younger and so yeah... the equalizing effect XD

Ugh, that seems pretty annoying... I don't know how I'd reply to that... Probably with sarcasm or throwing the question back, I did that once and it made my cousin realize it wasn't a good question...

@Nom de Plume Oh, I understand that! (the hair part, not the gifts one, luckily...) I wash my hair everyday and no matter what product I apply to it it always gets somewhat frizzy, it's a really hassle to take care of it...

I recently changed the conditioner I was using to a cheaper one though, and it somehow worked better than my previous one... Guess it was better suited for my hair.

Still, the frizz seems to never go away... orz
