"I like to look forward to the future" is a very inspiring and strong sentence indeed. Especially those who put it in practice. They remain focused and do hard work.
But I guess I am more of the person who thinks more than I do. I am forgetful in many ways, I forget some some small things necessary in daily life. But I remember a lot of things too...
Like, I remember my feelings, even though I can't feel it anymore. I remember the experience. I remember places, I remember words, I remember what I did in the past...
In nuf I have a hobby... I like looking through the past posts. They are like memories frozen in time. They are like an open diary where you can discover so many exciting things, and find answers to so many questions. It is also rude and "unproductive".
Some say past only exists in our memory... Past is just imaginary, as Imaginary as the future... The truth is we only exist in the present.
But unlike future, we have the proof to it. Proof because something in the past has led to the present. Why? Two times can exist simultaneously. I live several hours ahead and several hours behind some places of the world. I see light of the stars which are decades, centuries and millennia old... Isn't that a proof to the past? We may see it at this moment, but the star may not even exist in it's own present...
So in order to escape the monotonous life in the present, I guess I like to look at the past? It's like looking at a story...
"Those who forget the past, tend to repeat it" is what my sensei says. In the context of mistakes ofc. But I like what it says.
Reading the past
