It's been literal years,YEARS, and yet this topic resurfaces every other week. "Why is xyz not considered a seinen?", "abc is clearly not a josei but a shoujo", "shounen is clearly meant for 18 and younger audiences which means no sex and trauma and "deep" topics in their manga" blah blah blah. Like what do you as an English reader know about the manga publication industry in Japan? Why do you so confidently believe that Shounen Jump doesn't know what they're doing when they choose to publish something YOU deem as "seinen"?

Like why the hell is there someone breaking down the categories even further into "soft josei" or "hard shounen", that's not only useless but frankly all these readers are consistently wrong. You think because you're a grown adult reading Attack on Titan, that it should be published in a seinen magazine or considered "soft josei"? You think the Japanese manga publication doesn't know it's own industry? That they don't know what's going to sell to their desired consumers?

So annoying
