    This is a thread to post any plot developments in any WN or LN that you didn't expect or maybe just thought was bizarre.

    also please remember to put spoilers in spoiler tags and if you could label them with series and if its from an already translated chapter or from reading ahead

    I really did not expect NSFW from IET even if it wasn't very graphic lol, and he straight up skipped softcore and went right for the kinda rapey seeming coercion (thats what it seems like anyway, I could be wrong)

    I've heard it's supposed to be IET's darkest novel. That was pretty weird to put when every single female character before this was pretty chaste. As long there isn't any NTR i can live with it,

    In LN i never expected ichiban ushiro no daimaou to end up like that.

    In 11eyes I never expected her to be yandere . In Sola I didn't suspect the mc being a ..........

    Despite all the hints that the 4 overgods were some sort of construct, the Grandmist thing was totally out of the blue.
    I might be wrong on the title. I thought that the first chapter was really interesting. I hoped that it would be...I'm not sure, but my expectations were destroyed when the MC went on a trip to this dungeon and started building some sort of genderbend-yuri harem.
    If I had known what would happen, I would have found some way to burn this.
    I'll try to think of some more....

    think i mentioned this one today, but i didnt expect chapter 16-2 of Isekai Canceller. that was . . .brutal

    I . . .im still reeling from that one. It was such a cruel and unexpected developement. Why, author, why?

    Edit: But, okay, i have a theory. One day the MC's Cancelling ability will become so OP that it can cancel anything, even events long past. After that, he finds out this story and cancels both this event and the events that happened to the slave. He will become a god-like character who can use his OP canceling ability to pretty much cancel even a person's existence. So, in the future this will never even have happened. Not the long years of the slave's abuse, or the rape.

    this is the theory that i rely upon to keep myself from sending threats to the author to make the chapter non-canon or something. I dont think i want to know if my theory is wrong.
    And i know it may sound extreme, but that was how much it bothered me. Too unexpected and too brutal. If the scene itself was skipped it wouldnt make it better but i myself would not be as angry or shaken. To have read it in that much detail. . . sigh. well, its just my theory i hope will happen and now my rant is over.

    Oh, another thing i didnt expect was SAO to turn to shit after the first season. Okay, maybe im giving it too much credit. Everything after he got the house with Asuna was shit. Except the parts with him and his cousin. Wincest anyone?

    Did you suspect his mother's identify at all? I caught Xiao Wu's secret before it could stab me from a blind spot, but Tang San's mother caught me by surprise.

    When exactly did Xiao Wu kick the bucket? are you not up to date?

    The ending of CD was unexpected for me, if he would have gotten a new power when his 4 sparks fused would have been better than making him a UC and connecting it to ST
