News Qidian International New Stories Plan in the coming week

maybe i don't remember it exactly and i am wrong but i feel like most people use zhang and like to keep it close to the original but they do use a note for it explaining how much is it, and i am kinda sure it's novels from wuxiaworld too as i remember the style of notes was definitely from wuxiaworld

 

wuxiaworld use both as i pointed out in the post just before you sometimes they replace the Chinese totally then put the Chinese size in brackets or the reverse as well depending on the story / translation team

i'm 100% right about RWX only as i was rereading CD last night
for me its nice that they do it that way as it gives me a better sence of whats going on

I might have said this before on another post, but we need more Infinity genre and evolution type stories. Translators don't pick them up and despite the fame in China they aren't main stream popular here.

Even Terror Infinity has to fight for its fame. Infinity Armament has lacking translators and The Ultimate Evolution is only somewhat popular because of its monstrous release speed. Also interesting works like Killing Grounds of Gods and Devils gets overlooked despite it eventually getting over its early wonky beginnings, and recently its translators decided to stop regularly translate it to work on a cultivation story.

For people who don't enjoy the mainstream cultivation and cheat item stuff we don't have many stories to read. Hope Qidian can introduce such stories.

 

@Qidian did you even release any codes in the chapter releases today ? as been thru all the pages and can't see any even used ones

also when's v1.1 with the data mining happening as it's only a small tweak in the code to do ( will be asking this is the main post was well in a sec)

I thought Plundering the Heavens was Stealing The Heavens but actually was 9 coffins of immortals TT.... well since it was in my reading list thanks for the chapters and novel!!

 

Please tell Plundering the Heavens translator to stop using pinyin for every term. Senior/junior apprentice brother/sister, old boss (instead of 'laoda') , Sect Leader, etc....they are such common words so I don't see the need to abuse pinyin.

Same goes for terms related to "essence" "vitality". I don't understand the logic of pinyin ("jing")for this term at the least.

资质 means aptitude or latent talent. So what the hell is "zi'zhi" used by translator?

RWX, CKtalon, deathblade, etc...they all use English version of terms. Actually most translator does so.

Have to say Qidian has done amazing work in the cover artwork for all their novels.

i also have to say that reading on the continuous chapters on web or the app is so much better, i feel like its a drag to read from other websites now a days and so am following only tmw from wuxia, the rest reading from app of qidian
edit - i also like being able to turn the pages on the app using the volume keys, makes one hand reading easier
