    I mean yea, if the community doesn't like Qidian then fight them with economics, complaining isn't going to do much good. As it is Qidian pretty much has a monopoly at this point (they have the source of translation and now they're the translators as well) so the only thing I can think of is boycotting them.

    What I'm trying to say is, people were complaining about Trump and yet he still became the president, complaining isn't hurting Qidian.

    Why is a burger stand pretending to be 5 star restaurant? who the hell is most famous worldwide lol.

    They have licenses but that didn't mean their quality will get better.
    People still use their site coz it is still free and translations are readable. (not TKA,TKA is just perfect.)
    If I have to pay for it, I will choose to pay for much better translated novels instead.

    the only new info as i see it is the claim that the dispute is only about 10-11 novels and that 20 were indeed authorized.

    The sad thing is that, if you had cooperated with Wuxiaworld just like it was originally planned, you'd have gained so much from it. But now ? Man... I just want to ask, was it worth it ?

    Qidian has the same kind of abusive contracts with their authors as likely proposed to the fan translators (or they wouldn't have been rejected sooo much).

    This means that they basically own all works posted on their site, and in exchange the authors get some royalty as long as they don't say anything bad about Qidian or do anything Qidian deems worthy to cut you off, in which case they own your work AND you won't even get a penny.

    Between you and WW who has a long record standing history in the community, who do you think we should believe? I think it's WW cause at least as far as WW stand, they never got into trouble. After you make an appearance then everything changed.

    Hey, it's called an opinion. The legal aspects are entirely different. I addressed them in a different post. But the thorough lack of professionalism in the way Qidian posted their views publicly was reminiscent of bullies strong arming the little guy and left a lot of longtime readers with an extremely unpleasant aftertaste.
