From where I was at (which is like ch.30), she gets invited to a flower viewing event so she got all dressed up due to the concubines other maids and I might be wrong on this but I think the MC's freckles aren't real? I think it was said it was either drawn or something. During the banquet, she goes around taking sips of the food for poison. Any ways, sometimes she gets involved with some investigations like how there was a ghost rumor but what she found out was it was just a woman sleep walking. Another one was a death of a prostitute via suicide but the MC believes it was murder. She also gets to help out the one concubine who lost her baby to recover her physical and mental health.

No. It was a "handsome eunuch" but I'm not really sure if he really is a eunuch or not. There is a manga out for it (although one 1 chapter is currently translated) so you can get an idea of how he looks like. I'll have to get back to you on that cause so far, the MC just looks at the men in disdain or neutral face. Girls blush towards the handsome eunuch but the MC doesn't.

He is. Turns out he's the emperor's brother - so, yes, his 'equipment' still function correctly. Maomao, also turns out to be the adopted daughter of the former head of palace physicians (now in the slum districts doing doctoring there)- who was kicked out I think (this part is a little vague - read it so long ago) by the former emperor. And her real father is some official of some sort - high ranking one.
Only read it to the 2nd arc before she took a long rest. At that time, there was interest on the guy's side. She was more interested in her poisons - for the most parts. He was getting through a bit though.
Well, she doesn't have the body of what is standard for a beauty during her time period but yes, her freckles are fake. It was either drawn on or they're similar to tattoos that she can remove.
If I remember correctly, he's still alive - mom was a prostitute or something? So she's not an acknowledged child - think it was he didn't even know about her but somehow found out that she was his cuz she's at the palace again.
