My keyboard always ends up with a lot of grime on it after like 3-4 months of use. It's a USB attached rubberdome model. What do you guys recommend for keeping my keyboard grime-resistant?

Wear gloves, since most of the grime is from sweat.

Maybe don't eat while typing? I never clean my keyboard and they're pretty clean still, after about 3 years now. I do sometimes eat when using the computer, but I always have wet wipes next to my computer for using if I ever want to type something after I eat.

I hate the grime and dirt on a keyboard too (especially since I like eating at my desk while working.)
Eventually got myself a washable keyboard from Logitech...used to be really cheap and works amazingly well, but they're kinda hard to get now, or expensive. Dunno how other washable keyboard are like, but I just dowse mine under the sink if it's getting dirty and brush it off real quick.
    Works pretty well :)

For normal keyboards... try spraying it with compressed air and keep your hands clean, I guess? I dunno :D

Clean it with cotton and alcohol regularly everyday or 3 times a week, much better if you have a 1-2 inch brush to keep clean the dust too.

    Keyboard covers.
Lots of medical industry keyboards have removable covers that can be washed off.
The whole set of keys are 1 piece of flexible plastic that is easy to remove to was.

if you have a sweaty palms, then having grimes is normal, what's not normal is you waiting 3months to clean it., just clean it once every week., i know that you are lazy but for the sake of convenient gaming, please clean it once every week

If you are not picky about keyboards, there are rubber keyboards which can be washed. But make sure you find a good quality one.

Be proud of the grime, son! Grime means you have a working man's keyboard! with all his passion and hard work poured into a blue collar man's tool. Those sweat and dirt show his love and willpower to build this great nation of ours. Those grimy keyboards should be put on a pedestal and... okay, I'm gonna shut up now....

I had a dirty response to this, but after reading everyone else's comments I decided to keep it PC.

Best bet is a keyboard cover/skin. Cheap ones go for around $5.00.

Another idea (but terrible because it doesn't work as well) is to get those laser projected virtual keyboards. Not good for gaming, but fine for normal typing/chatting.
