Resolved What book is this? (Found: Enders Game)

    It's a western sifi book who's original author died so his son finished the rest of the series. The mc is like a student to become an officer in this military space academy. Near the end of the book the mc is trying to graduate and has to win a simulated battle. And it turns out that
    every graduation test wasn't a fake battle but a real one with consequences

    Ender's Game?

    I don't know about the author or whatnot, but the ending sounds like it fits.

    Yeah, sounds like Ender's Game but Orson Scott Card is still alive and being a dick so that part is confusing.

    The problem with Ender's Game as the answer is that the author is still alive! But yes, the answer does sound like Ender's Game :)

    Yes that is , and the book was so good at start but the author killed it , such a good pontential wasted , a pity
