[East Zone] - Slay the Sewer Invaders
(Again, not really, but it's not like Aria is doing anything else)

Spoiler: Ah, Dark Clouds.

What in Lucky's name happened!?

Sure, I'm happy that the sudden fire spreading is driving the monsters from that side away, it's making my job a lot easier, but... Why did that giant monster melt!? This is crazy I tell you! Crazy!!!

Haa... This kingdom is nuts, I wanna go back to Nyllia... I kinda need to pay for the bed first though... orz

What to do though... The fire is spreading, isn't this... Bad?

Ah, the clouds above are pretty thick though... Should I be happy it seems like it is going to rain...? But I can't cast properly under the rain... And... I hate getting wet... Ugh...

Hopefully it is annoying for those monsters too at least.

 

[Central zone] - Pest control - 2

Spoiler: Cadmium

"Hooo so a larger amount of those small lizard people is going to be coming over?"
"Squeak"
"Roughly 500 of them and some of them seem to be armed with strong iron weaponry and they seem to be better trained than the rest of them as well?"
"I am sure that you guys can handle them look there is about 500 of them and 400 of you not such a big difference and you even have the advantage of being the defenders and having the high ground the most important part of any fight and no I will not be joining in to the fight." The bigger rat looks sad at this statement so Cadmium gives it a nice pat on what seems to be a hardened skin on top of the liquid underneath of the rat.
A big skirmish starts with the lizards charging into the water lizard men whilst the water rats have started circling behind to pincer the enemy and crush them with surprise attacks. At the end of the fight only 150 water spirits(4 snakes 42 rats 104 lizard people remain on Cadmium's side.
Crack. "Ohh it is finally hatching I wonder how cute it is going to be." The cute cat cub appears and looks similar to a ball of fuzz but it has 4 legs and walks straight towards Cadmium and tries to suckle from the container of milk in his hands. Cadmium continues feeding it and cuddling it until it falls asleep than he places it on his shoulders for a nice long rest.

 

[South Area] - Slay the Sewer Invaders (D)

Blasted! Blasted, I say! Why they be more comin!? At this rate, we be far from reachin the Association! And these scally bastard be armed! Not properly fortunately, but still armed. Blasted!

"Guah!"

I felt a sharp pain on me shoulder. I looked at me shoulder an' find a crude spear be stabbed into it. It be from one of the scaly bastard next to me. The bastards be sneakin when I be in the middle of bashing its friend.

"Ye bastard!!!"

With a shout I let the scaly bastard meet me hatchet head on. A guttural screech entered me ear as the monster died. I pulled out the spear forcefully, makin me winched a bit as red blood sprout out of the wound. I threw ta' to the monster on the back, hittin it right on its scaly head.

This be not good. I be gettin careless in this prolonged battle. I cou' feel me mana depletin faster an' faster. The number of injury I be havin increased each time I killed a dozen of them bastards. There be no way I cou' get out unscathed an' I had to canceled out the Iron Skin or I will deplete me mana faster than I can drink me bottle.

"Eat this!"

I slammed me hammer onto the ground, creatin cracks that swallowed some of the monsters. Alas, only some died. The rest of them bastards quickly charged toward me. I greeted them with me hammer and hatchet through their head and body, killin almost all of them.

"Ugh!"

Just like before, I felt a sudden sharp pain. This time it be me stomach and me arm, thankfully the wounds be far from deep. This be bad. Very bad. I glanced back and saw that Esta lad not be in a better condition. The lad be injured more an' more. If I cou' have time to recover, I cou' at least turn me skin into iron an' manipulate them to closed up ta' wound. At this rate? Nae, that be impossible.

I then heard Adiana's suggestion. Fly away? Like that time, eh? Aye, that be good. But, I fear at her condition, carryin me will be her death. I be deadweight fer her, sadly. Even when I be healthy, I be still a heavy one fer her. The lad, on the other hand, still good.

"Aye, flying away be a good idea, Adiana. Therefore," I let out a grin to her an' the lad behind her, "fly away to safety ye be goin!"

I slammed me feet and large pillar raised up from the ground, bringing the two of them up to the sky . Due to the mana I used, the pillar be large enough fer the two of them without makin them fall or anythin. I then also put out several pillars to hold the monsters at bay.

"Go! I be seein ya there soon!" I gripped me hammer an' hatchet again. "I be buyin ye some time fer now!"

This wounds be nothin! I be killin them an' not ta' other way around!

[East Zone] - Slay the Sewer Invaders

Spoiler: Who Had The Great Idea Of Making Water Fall From The Sky!?

It didn't take too long for the rain to start falling.

Annoying. That was the best way to describe the feeling.

So far it was still pretty weak, but it seemed pretty likely to get stronger.

I wanted to go back into the inn and take cover, but I would lose sight of the enemies in that case.

The fire started spreading more slowly now, the rain was still weak, so it wasn't stopping, but the damage would probably stop spreading soon enough... That's a relief I guess? Oh, a building is falling... Hopefully there wasn't anyone near.

I adjusted my hat to protect my head from the falling rain, it didn't protect the rest of my body, but it couldn't be helped.

It was cold... Cold and annoying... Ah... I hate rain.

Some monsters started to approach again with the rainfall, probably because the fire near the inn was also weakening, since the buildings nearby were already burnt pretty badly.

Okay... Fireba-

The rain erased the fire my glove made and the array wasn't completed... Ah, I really really really hate rain... *deep breath* Let's go!

I hopped on my broom and put my body between the rain and the enemies, it's a good thing the wind is coming from the West, because it would be horribly hard to cast it if it was coming from the East... Hopefully it stays like that.

I made a fireball array that was not interrupted by the rain and... BOOM! More enemies down!

At least I could make some explosions now, since small fires would be erased by the rain before they spread... Well, I made an explosion before anyway.

Take another!!

... The rain erased the fireball midair!!! Aaaaaaagh!!! Another!!!! Ha! Take that you bunch of annoyances! You aren't touching this inn!

Or at least for as long as my Mana lasts I guess... Please Lucky, help me a bit, don't let the wind change directions at least...

I prayed from the botton of my heart while casting fireballs at the seemingless endless waves of enemies...

 

[North zone] - Slay the sewer Invaders

Spoiler: Yvrainne-The torture ends

After 8 more of these guardsmen have appeared Yvrainne gets bored of them becasue they all have had the exactly the same reaction and taken the exact same period of time to collapse without having anything left in them. "This is so boring humans are way more interesting to torture I mean they actually have different responses and I can understand them so the grovelling is actually nice to listen to as is the flattery of my looks. But they sure are stubborn they are like knights when you torture them for the first time."
Yvrainne climbs up along the roof and is running and jumping along looking for something new and interesting and notices a rat that seems to be commanding the other rats to go down straight down for some reason. "They seem to be digging a lot of ditches here but why? I don't know how it could benefit them?" Yvrainne slowly moves towards the area in which the ordering rat is hiding so that she can assassinate it. "Gees why am I able to understand rat but not lizard people it sucks. Rats give no good reactions."
Yvrainne proceeds to jump from building rooftop to building rooftop slowly so that she can get into range to jump on top of it and kill it immediately and then easily escape.
"Hup hah. That was easy now time to run away!!!!" Yvrainne is now getting chased by about 50 rats all over the rooftops in the north.

 

South Area - Slay the Sewer Area

With the fight growing more intense, and my wounds more numerous, things aren't exactly looking good. As I grow faint from blood loss, the enemies seem to grow more numerous, and I don't have time to look back, so I also do not know how far the HQ is away. With things looking bleak, hope is all that remains. My flames seem to grow a tiny bit stronger and I manage to earn a moment of respite for myself, enough to hear Adiana say something about flying.

Suddenly, a pillar rises from beneath me and Adiana, lifting us up and out of the beast's reach, followed by additional pillars. Looking down, I see the dwarf fighting the beasts, all alone. "He-he just...!" I fail to find words. I won't let this be in vain, but I won't leave him all alone there. Gathering most of my remaining mana, I cast additional Friendly Fire and use a dampened variant of Fire Strike at him, causing all my Friendly Fire to rush towards and cover the dwarf. The sudden dizziness causes me to fall to my knees, but the Friendly Fire should stick to him for some time, healing him, and making his attacks more effective.

He will survive. I'm sure of it.

Damn it ! That's even worse than before ! I don't feel useless but utterly worthless right now ! Just look at them... come on ! It looks like they are going to die at the second I close my eyes ! So honestly, I prefer not thinking about what I will become after they fall... right, I will end up in a... oh wait, I could jus... anyway.

Then... I felt something sinking into my side... I couldn't but turn back and immediately hit what came.... uuuuuu...!

I wanted to shout and curse but when I saw their disgusting face which was hit by my frail punch, I felt pitied as I... let's say, blinded it...? Damn ! One lucky move ! ...
...But it hurrrt... itchy ! It hurt dman... I can't even form my thoughts properly ! Geez, I wish I could beat those bastard... but I can't !
I caught both Esta and Loghaic as I was still naked and chanted as a magic circle was formed under our feet.

"Never changing direction, push forward.

Send them back to their hole.

Deviate the harms.
Fly onward.

Crush them frontward.

Immediately, the wind launched us above all the monsters, of course, I held to them but didn't support their weights.... since we are still in the wind... damn... that's going to be troublesome.

"No crash into the headquarters..."

Yeah, we were actually near to it, but I hope one damn thing, that we won't crash into it... I already have trouble with two people which made us crash into a house... but at three... I couldn't help but shiver at the thought of how many shards of glasses may enter me...

"The landing will be haaaarrrssssshhhhhh !"

I shouted out of panic... please, let's not get our neck wrecked...

[Central Zone - Lord’s Mansion, Outside] Slay the Sewer Invaders 2 (Joan/Nana)

Joan looked for a reason fast. She didn’t want to admit to misinterpreting orders to get “accidental” achievements.

“Reporting! We were clearing up the South Area sewers, and ended up here by accident. There are enough lizardmen down there to swarm this mansion two times over, though judging by their behavior, they were waiting for something, merely patrolling around. We've so far met, and mostly avoided, around 300, and estimate twice that number.” (Joan)

Nana flew in beside Joan, reformed and nodded.

“There’s probably another wave coming. Most of the patrols were headed North. There is also a large contingent going South for some reason. From what Momo showed me, I think the East is exhausted. The West is in bad condition, but quieter right now.” (Nana)

“As for being fine, we’re extremely exhausted, and near the limit of our magic channel capacity.” Joan added. Everything ached, she really wanted to rest. For a week.

“I can still go on~” Nana cheerfully said. She was actually enjoying this, though was no less tired.

“So can I, but I can’t fight another horde head on. I can shoot a few big spells, but then you’d need to carry me back.” Joan didn’t want to be considered useless, and corrected herself. “Orders, sir!”

 

[Central Zone] - army building

"Time to build an army as big as possible so everyone fan out and kill as many rats, lizards, spiders, flies, snakes and whatever else that you can find and bring them to me as quickly as possible so that we can build a massive army."
The giant water spirit rat turns to leave. "Not you precious one you have to look after the baby with me so that one of us can fight freely at all times in the vicinity of the baby."
The giant water spirit rat sits down and cuddles up around the baby metal tiger letting it play all through it the baby metal cat has blue and silvery white. "We are going to be going to the Lords tower like I said before."

Ohh what is that commotion going on it sounds like Joan and Sogre but why is Joan acting in such a military like manner?

Spoiler: Lee is~! Lee is~! not really doing anything....

[Lord's mansion?] [Inside?]
Lee looked around and wondered how she was in this situation, When she had stepped into the city, A strange older Oneesan had picked her up and now she was in a fancy looking room sipping tea while the sounds of chaos reigned outside. "Soooo~ Cuuuute~" When Lee looked outside, she had noticed that perhaps this lady in front of her was not so normal...seeing as she herself had the city lord's guards stationed just outside her room.

Was she perhaps a relative? a special guest? the lord's daughter? Lee did not know and it seemed she was going to still not know because the only words they exchanged were their names, well, only lee gave her name, and she kept stuffing lee up with snacks...
That's when she realized her badge was shining, "Wha!" she had accidentally dropped it unto the bottom of her sleeve causing her to not really see it before.

"Trouble~!"
Lee started walking out when she noticed one of the guards sigh, It seems like he was ordered to escort lee? Lee nodded to herself as the tall guardsmen brought out his battle shield and grabbed lee and put her on his back, heading out to see if there's any people to save so that he could get a discount on daily goods in the future.

Lee did not mind,,,or rather, she was too distracted since she was now looking at the world from a taller height! (*o*)
While the guard had this face on (-_-)

 

[Central-north zone]-the army expands

40 spiders and 40 lizards are brought by the mudscale warriors as well as 200 mudscale warriors slowly but surely and then they are transformed and sent out by Cadmium whilst he is waiting for a guard to come to the door of the lords manor to either tell him to shove off or to let him in. "Hoo. I didn't think that they would take this long to open a goddamed door I mean seriously how long am I going to have to stay out here I have even fed my new little tiger cub 3 times." Well lets rest then.

[East Zone] - Slay the Sewer Invaders (finally I am gonna kill something directly)

Spoiler: The Birth of Shoggy

As the weasel dissolved, in the place where the creature once laid now shivered a rat clutching a glass vial filled with dirty green liquid. The substance wished to also escape and return to its owner, however the rat mercilessly stuck its hand into it and as the will of the sewer elemental yelled in denial, the paw erased its consciousness and engraved it with its own.

'Finally obtained the main ingredient', the rat grinned before shivering all over and rapidly growing. In just a few seconds, the lowly cannon fodder transformed into a Rat King.

Thanks to his puppet, the Mahjarrat learnt how the sewer creatures communicate and how the elementals control them. Though even if he did the same, he would not have any real powers over them. However, now, after the fight, when the sewer elemental had his hands full and the vermin shivered in fear as they lost their leader the weasel, it was not that hard to convince them with a bit of a illusion, especially the most dumb rats. They scavenged whatever they could find and moved towards a safe location.

Before long, they arrived in the ruins of a large burnt abandoned house, there the rats reluctantly left the corpses on one big pile, which could already be considered a small hill. On the way, the Mahjarrad still kept the World of Illusions, however, he let all of the first wave vermin see the truth and they, attracted by the smell obediently followed the group. The rats squeaked angrily at them, defending their loot while the stalkers planned on how to steal it. At the time, when the corpses were piled up, the two sides were at their boiling point.

Thus Soremad ordered the rats: 'Feast!'

Immediately, the bloody eyes of the lowly rats shined with gluttony and greed as they jumped at the pile devouring to their heart's content. Seeing that, as if they were spell-bound by the smell of blood and raw flesh, the following vermin also joined on the event and as they made their entrance, a chaotic battle ensued. The vermin rapidly devoured the corpses, they defended their portions, plundered the meal of others and gnawed each other's bones.

However, none of this seemed to have anything to do with the fake Rat King who just stood in its place, being ignored by all of the voracious creatures.

The Mahjarrat, still transformed as the rat king, retrieved all of the venom sacks he had scavenged so far and infused them with his mana.

'The strongest ritual I am capable of... Hopefully, something useful will emerge out of it!'

The venom sacks were thrown into the air, where the burst and rained onto the ground. Each drop contained a symbol and had a predetermined place of landing. When they did land, the vague letter of old would be engraved on the ground.

Though the vermin noticed it, it was not as important as their stomachs and so they continued the bloody feast.

Seeing the situation the rat king revered to his original form of a Mahjarrat and snickered: 'Fools! May you be a sacrifice to my new servant!'

He chanted: "Říkáme, že soustava lineárních algebraických rovnic je homogenní neboli bez pravé strany, pokud je sloupec pravé strany nulový!"

As the chant was spoken, the mana in the surroundings vibrated in accord causing some of the smarter vermin to notice the change. But, it was too late! The symbols, which were engraved in a tridecagram shined. The blood in the feast evaporated and created a thick red mist encompassing the pile of corpses. A bloodlust clouded the vermin's minds making their desire to devour and slaughter stronger than ever. As the poor creature revelled in their desires, more blood would be evaporated and the mist would only grow thicker and thicker.

"V opačném případě se jedná o soustavu s pravou stranou!"

Soremad opened the vial and the weasel liquid flew into the air, stationing itself above the centre of the ritual. At the same time, all of the lesser elemental cores and dried meat joined it. The vermin naturally realized that the prey in front of them was escaping and so they became even more frenzied in their actions.

Strangely though, the total mass of the substance made of the weasel liquid, venom, cores and meat above was not growing at a fast pace. It was even shrinking sometimes. And that was, because all of the unneeded components were being burnt to make the body of the new monster of a better quality.

"Homogenni soustava má vždy alespoň jedno řešení, a to triviální."

With this chant, the second stage, the pitch-black Gate of Hell made its entrance. As soon as it did, the blood feast below quietened down as the vermin trembled in fear. The Mahjarrat just smiled and chanted again.

"N a Z nejsou číselná tělesa!"

This time, there was no fight between Soremad and the Gate. The Mahjarrad had a deal to make. He offered all of the souls of the ritual's sacrifices. both those, which already had and those which were waiting to be slaughtered.

The gate seemed the offering to be worthy and for the first time after many years, it slightly opened with a loud *Creak*. It was just a tiny opening, however, the might behind it was incomprehensible. All of the loose souls within the tridecagram shrieked as they were sucked in and all of the living vermin were branded by the gate sealing their poor fate.

Then, a small bit deformed soul emerged from the gate. the Mahjarrat nodded satisfyingly and engraved it with its mark.

After the deed was done, the gate disappeared and the soul entered the weird substance above. Then, the newborn demon gently landed on top of the pile of corpses before, like a slime entered its depths.

The third phase, the trial of slaughter, was about to begin.

 

[North Zone] - Slaying slithering sewer snakes.

Spoiler: Yvrainne

"I have heard that the sewer snakes are blind creatures I wonder if that statement is actually true because that might be a fun fight 2 blind creatures running at each other trying to murder each other before more of the enemies arrive." Yvrainne is listening intently on rooftops whilst fantasising for a faint hiss sound and the smell of snake saliva a unique smell that can be traced almost anywhere that a snake goes if one can smell well enough because of how they smell by flicking their tongue back and forth and hissing. "I hope the sewer elementals gunk hasn't obscured the smell from the snakes that would be a real tragedy for me." A hiss sound happens around the corner of the building startling Yvrainne just as the snake was startled at Yvrainne's monologue before it. They both rush around the corner trying to find each other first as it seems that the only way to differentiate between each other is through sound luckily for Yvrainne her steps are quieter than the snakes slithering motions along the floor and it has little vertical capability before it lunges so she is able to slowly climb a wall and wait for it to hiss again to try and find her. The snake hisses yet it is out of Yvrainnes reach but then a coil tightening sound occurs and the snake propels itself towards Yvrainne from where it was seated. Yvrainne flicks open her spikes and tries to predict where the snake will go successfully stabbing it through the throat. "Woah that was a far more intense fight than I thought it would be."

 

[Central Zone]​

"Hmmmm...." Sorgre folded his arms, staring at Joan for a bit before turning to the boarkin, who nodded. Sighing, he pulled something from his badge, somehow, and handed to Joan. "This should solve the lack of mana. It's a simple mana potion.
Though, about your mana channels... Well, it doesn't exist potions for that. Only rest and maybe special treatments to make the recovery faster. I'm handing this mana potion, but I'd like you to not overdo yourself. Else you'll end up in a bed for a whole week."
"Ah, but it's not like you need to go back to combat~" Hildr intervened. "If you'd like, you could stay with the staff here at the Lord's Manor to rest. He's already hoarding most of the combat power of the city, so he wouldn't complaint to have another 'combatant' joining us. Of course, you'll be able to enjoy a bit here~
But, then again, it's your choice~"
"Pick a choice fast... I don't want to be out when the rain starts."

 

[South Area]

This be bad! This be very, very bad! After receivin ta' healin fire from that lad, I felt a lot better. Me body felt warm as if I had down a bottle of booze. So, what be the bad thing? The fact that we be flyin! Without any proper control! I glanced at ta' culprit of our situation, Adiana. The elf had clearly used her strongest spell to make us fly away from ta' enemy. But that be all she cou' do. The memory of our last flyin trip be in me head. Not a good memory, I had to say.

An' at the moment, the three of us be on the course of hitting the Association building. Forget about the whole damage we be causin. The damage we be receivin at this rate be very dangerous! We be flyin at a very high speed, not to mention from a very high place. Ye do not need to be a genius to know that we be in a grave danger. What can a mere dwarf like me do? Well....I do have one plan.

I rotate me body mid -air an' tried me best to positioned meself on ta' front of the two. Then I activated me Iron Skin spell, but only on me back while I keep me front, ta' side where I face the two, be normal. I split me remaining mana into half. The first half be to me Iron Skin spell, makin me hardened skin even tougher. The later half into me limbs, strengtehin them. Aye, ye get what I be plannin. I hope that I cou' take the brunt force of the fall while catchin the two of them. That be the least I cou' do to me partners. But that be just a plan. The realization be....a wee bit different. Especially so since I be shorter than the two of them, me bein a dwarf an' all of that.

"LOOK OUT BELOW!!!"

I shouted, hopin that whoever on our way be ready to run away faster than a thirsty dwarf empty his bottle. The moment of truth, I say. THe three of us be inches away from hittin the second floor of the association building. As I planned, I hit the wall first. I quickly felt the sheer impact of the whole wall hittin me back. Aye, it hurts! No need to ask, ye fools! But I cou' only grit me teeth as I the two of them slammed onto me. At least me plan worked to that part. They be hittin me, not the wall.

A large ball that be consisted of the three of us be slidin on ta' floor, scrapping the floor clean. I cou' see sparks flies as me iron skin scrapped the floor. WIth me remainin strength, I put slammed me feet down, trying to slow us down. Sure enough, that be a job harder than I expected. I cou' feel me whole feet screamin in pain, but I resisted the urge to give up. After a few seconds, that if I may say, feel like hours fer me, we finally stopped.

I glanced at me partners an', sure enough, they be far from unscathed, but I cou' see that they be far from gettin the worse impact. At that, I let out a wide grin. The plan worked! To some extent, aye. I don't mind that. As me whole mana gone, me back's skin be turned to normal an' me limbs lost their power. I fell on me back while tasting a bit of iron on me mouth.

"Adiana....nice flight....," I said with me weak voice. "Let's....not do that again...."

South Area

While the spell I cast made me dizzy, the sudden flight is enough to bring my consciousness to the brink of fading. Looking back, this is the first time I had this much bad luck in my entire life. As soon as they arrived, I did not have a single moment of rest had to test my limits of endurance and fighting skill. And now, this...

I remember how well it went before- no, wait, I almost died before that once, too. When I was guarding the citizens. I did manage to recover rather quickly, though. But this- I barely notice that we are approaching the wall at a speed much faster than I am comfortable with. One final impact, and then darkness.

[Central Zone - Lord’s Mansion, Outside]

"Thank you!" Joan took the potion, and quickly made her decision. There wasn't anything to think about really. If given the opportunity to rest and perhaps even get to know people in the manor, she'd pick that over dropping unconscious and probably dead any day.

"I'll take you up on that offer, miss. I may regret not fighting out to the end, but one needs to be alive to feel such emotions." (Joan)

"I'm coming in as well~" Nana was rather curious about the insides of that building. Whenever she approached there as a raven, she'd get chased away immediately by somebody inside. Then there was the barrier that occassionally stopped her from moving further. What was she, a monster?

"Nana, you won't be spiling that black stuff all over the manor, right?" Joan really was concerned.

"Nuh~ I don't need to do that right now, I've been doing that all the time while we were down in the sewer." Nana said, looking away.

 

[South Area]

Geez, if you knew how much I hate this life. How much I hate this city... how much I hate my current bad luck... haaaaa.. I feel so dizzy... please just knock me out already !

"DAMMNNNN !"

I screamed as I saw that we were going to crash, honestly, I felt like my life was defiling in front of my eyes, since the very start. Spoiler: Lee's too carefree! [East Zone] [Meeting up with Aria

The guardsmen grunted as he decided that going east was going to be his lucky day, ir rather the fact that his favorite restaurant was their decided everything for him. "Mister~ Mister~ what's your name~?"

He sighed, This little girl was just too carefree! "Jonah" He grunted out loud, he had seen no real reason why they would reunite in the future, perhaps they would never see each other in the future so names were a waste of time. That's when he spotted

another little girl, throwing fireballs and burning his future meals...
he shook his head, even if free meat was free and...he looked at lee, even if dirty meat could be cleaned...
Gah! he gave in to his opportunism, yelling out "I'll take it from here little kid!" putting down lee, he charged forward with a battleaxe and started chopping forward at the enemy while lee went up to the fire-ball slinging girl.

“Then let’s get inside already before it st- Nuh…?” Sorgre was interrupted by a sudden shake in the ground. He frowned, confused. “What was that just now?”

The ground shook again, but that time it was more intense. Looking at the north, he saw a shadow raising in the north, making a grim face. “Oi, oi… Give me a break...”

____ Lord’s POV ____​

“It’s almost done… ” The Lord said, already exhausted after working much on repairing the artifact that maintained the barrier. Of course, the council of the Association was of great help. Mostly because of a certain person.

“Ah~ That’s good… Those ol’ bones of mine wouldn’t want more than this...” An old lady dressed in a weird squirrel pajama. If he didn’t knew her since he was a kid, he wouldn’t be able to believe she was actually the chairwoman of the Magic Association.

She was close friend with his late grandfather and played with him when he was a kid, so she was an figure akin to a grandmother to him.

“Yeah… Just a bit more and we’ll be done.” He forced a smile on his face, but she looked at him and sighed. “I fear we don’t have ‘just a bit’...”

As if waiting for her words, the whole Manor shook. What was this? An earthquake? The Lord didn’t had much time to think about it, anyway, as he was only worried about not letting the artifact fall down, picking it up and hugging it to protect. The ground started shaking slightly, but nonstop.

“I guess your grandpa forgot to tell you about the sewers…

The first four levels are just like you would expect from a city’s sewers, while the last one, the fifth, is more like a pit where everything that can’t be handled by the levels above is dumped.

Of course, experimental waste and magic beasts aren’t the only thing there…

When this city was being constructed, they placed something there… A weapon. A weapon that was created to protect the city, should it be attacked. I just didn’t expected that creature to take it over.”

“W-weapon? What weapon?” The young lord stuttered as he looked through the window, eyeing the north side. A large shadow towered over the houses in the north zone.

“The weapon’s name is Giant of the Dephts, Caies.” The chairwoman said calmly as she leaned on her chair, carefreely. On contrast, the council was running around with hurry, sending a warning to the Association members.

“You better not take long, young Lord...” She left some words before closing her eyes and sleeping.

____ Caies' POV ____​

Guh… This body is more trouble than I thought…

But… That’s okay… It will be enough…

I have my power, his power and the power of that annoying beast.

It will be enough to deal with those annoying pests.

As for the rest of my army… well, although I only have a handful of those, they were the most troublesome to corrupt... But I guess I’ll have to use them now.

Rank: C
Type: Hunter, Special Task
Description: Due to the latest occurrences, the city is under attack of the sewers creatures, who destroyed the barrier in the sewers, pouring out in the city. While the upper levels of the barrier are easily fixable, the last layer, which holds everything together, is a Magical Heritage owned by the City’s Lord household. In order to buy time for the Association and the Lord to restore the barrier, is necessary to hold back the enemies.
Extra Details: Mind the collateral damages, as to keep them to a minimum.

Sewer Golem - A golem that composed the defenses of the fifth level. It was corrupted by the Sewer Elemental after many trials and errors, being fused with a Lesser Sewer Elemental. Immune to corruption and poison. Weak to healing and holy magic.

Mutant Feral Lizardman - A creature from the fifth level. Usually they're two meters tall, with bulky bodies covered in scales, which has experimental waste smeared on them, making them somehow resistant to magic too. Highly resistant to corruption and poison. Weak to healing and holy magic.

Mutant Titan Snake - A gigantic snake that is rarely found in the fifth floor. Just like the lizardman, its scales are smeared with experimental waste, making them somehow resistant to magic. The smallest ever found had 10 meters. Highly resistant to corruption and poison. Weak to healing and holy magic.

• General rules for Ranks in tasks are applied. You can take a task of your rank or one above, but additionally can take a task of two ranks above if in a group of three or more players;

Greater Sewer Elemental and Giant of the Depths, Caies (C Rank)

• The Elemental that was born in the fifth level of the Sewers. It slowly started to take control of the creatures of the sewers to gather the experimental waste and summon more of his kin. After a long while, he managed to destroy the three defenses of the Association in the Sewers: the Warden who watched the third level, the barriers that protected the sewers and the golems who protected the fifth level. It fused itself with the strongest of the golems in the fifth level and the elemental who absorbed the Ramidreju to enhance its power;
• Immune to: Water magic, Poison and corruption;
• Weak to: Earth Magic, Fire Magic, Holy Magic and Healing Magic;
• Due to being a custom ordered golem from Belgard, it doesn’t posses a core or weak point, being operated by the spirit inside, that was now mixed with the elemental. Complete destruction is required to stop its functioning;
• However, due to him not being used yet to controlling his new body, Caies won't move too much from his spot, taking a more defensive approach;
• Possess his own Inherent Magic, Corruption: Corruption is an area aura magic, which is a dangerous poison to spirits and other beings born from pure magic. It also strengthens the mutant creatures near him, but in exchange applies an overwhelming pressure and burden over them, making almost no creature want to approach him;
• Also possess the Inherent Magic that the Ramidreju developed after fusing with the Sewer Elemental, Disaster: This magic is also an area aura magic that deteriorates the enemy’s ability to heal their own wounds (unless they use healing magic) and heals the mutants creatures that dare to approach him;
• Due to both being Inherent Magics, gifts from the world, it can be kept constantly active if Cais so desires and doesn’t consumes his magic power, being powered by the world itself.
