Hmn... Born from a world where corruption is more common than the sea on earth. Had my entire family raped, plundered and murdered by psychopaths who ate their flesh and used their skulls to decorate their place. Murdered those psychopaths and broke my sanity. Rescued by some christian girl who saw me butchering evil people. Got raped and murdered by some evil organization who got disbandedisbanded by me. Died there and reincarnated into another world as a cursed child who would become a calamity. Became a fighting slave and broke free to become a walking disaster who then met the hero. Meh, pretty simple.
Because, like in Skyrim, adventurers take anything that they can get to and that isn't nailed down. The hungry adventurer wants your cheese wheel.
If I could kill people and have a 100% chance of getting away with it I would kill so many people. Perhaps all of the people I could. I feel that humans are beings that will always want something they can never attain. And in trying to obtain the unobtainable they will hurt the innocent or anything else. By killing them I am freeing them of their suffering. But I myself am a human who wants to do an impossible task, so I must kill myself as well! jk! No, but seriously I want to destroy the world so bad.
@lychee What would it take to drive you down the villain route? What would be a sufficient trigger to transform the ordinary (presumably harmless) novel-reading glasses-wearing hikikomori otaku dude (you) into the ultimate villain? Someone harm my cherished treasured people What villainous things did you do (assuming you have the power to accomplish them) on your blazing trail to become a villain? I kidnapped the people that hurt my family. Place them in a secret safe house. Put them on life support (IV lines, CTRT connected to ventilator and NGT), dismember their arms and legs so they couldn't escape nor suicide, cut their tongue and cut their vocal cord. Paint their body with pure 95% capsaicin lotion. When it's time for their life to end. I will poison them with strychnine...... and see them writhing like worm they really are. I think the hero will be a cop or something...... and have girlfriend or something...... like some kind of Korean procedural police drama.
By realizing that without power nothing will change, and while with that power to try and change things for the better, the common masses and people of old regimes that are still in power don't want that change so they use their influence to get me classified as a villain, thus I will be stuck into a slow drawn out conflict where I eventually have to kill everyone that goes against me just to insure the survival of myself, and those that willingly follow me, while possibly ending as a martyr to prove the necessity of the change, though it may fail due to the saying that "you lose when you die" plus everyone has their own objectives so the next person to take up the banner left behind will take a slightly different course, causing the legacy that will be left behind to become distorted as it gets introduced to newer generations.
