    Only places I checked were WW's forums, the TL notes on each chapter, and this thread. No mention of this anywhere that I checked on WW. Life happens. Explaining things in a TL note and responding to the numerous threads on WW's own forum might be a good idea.

    Ren has been mostly reliable in the past, so when Ren makes a commitment, I tend to believe it. HJC has been the one sore spot in all this. There's been a trend in both poor updates and poor communication around this novel.

    That's why the sh*tstorm lately has been so big.

    There is 37 whole chapters left of HJC for wuxaiworld to do. At the latest WW pace of roughly 1 chapter part every 4-5 days, you'd be looking at approximately 2 complete chapters a month, maybe 3 depending on part numbers.

    At that rough rate, it could take anywhere from 8 to 18 months to complete. Contrast that to QI's pace which will be complete within 3 weeks +/- 2-3 days.

    Had a death in the family, followed by some other family issues. I basically shut down for two weeks. Nothing I can say besides sorry.

    Does it really even matter how quickly EFT finishes the novel? I read enough EFT work to know it's nothing but crap. :blobunsure:

    In any novel they translate, it's already a miracle if EFT's translators can remember how to spell the main character's name from chapter to chapter, and I'm not even exaggerating when I say that. Their work is just that bad. It's very obvious that they have entire teams of "translators" working on the same novels with barely any cooperation between them... Besides, it's poorly done machine translation anyway. Even if, by some miracle, they find a good editor to make their rubbish look pretty, it's still rubbish underneath.

    It's fine when there's literally no other alternative, but, when there is...

    No apology necessary. As I said, you're generally trustworthy, so I figured something happened IRL to drag you away from your translation commitments. All I'd ask in the future is that you type a quick email an admin asking him or her to update the TL note on the newest chapter to let everyone know that translations will slow or cease for a time if you need to take some time off.
