Exactly! I was going to post this if I hadn't seen this post. I used to click just once to refresh button to get rid of the refresh button. However, I have to click twice now (first the book icon, then the refresh button) to get rid of the book icon. It's a hassle now as there's even a time gap(loading time) when I click the the book button to reveal the refresh button! In essence, the problem is: Past: one click refresh -> done! Present: one click book -> wait -> one click refresh -> done!
If you dislike this feature, you can disable it by going to your Reading List -> Global Settings (Top right) -> "Disable Reading List Notes" -> Save
Thanks, that solved my problem. However, putting a refresh icon next to the book icon would be the most optimal outcome.
Nah... That would mess up the gui. Many users have thick fingers that aren't the best at precision touch screen.
There are often misclicks while scrolling or trying to click another icon as MG mentions above. This system requiring two clicks prevents the chapters being marked as read accidentally. Pros / pcusers can use the solution blitz mentioned for a ‘faster’ click.
