All my mods are mostly appearance, outfit, graphics and dlc type mods. I wanna play the game without breaking it too much.
If oblivion was made in the same year as skyrim with the technological improvements it would definitely far outsell the latter
Definitely would enjoy some mechanics from the new games into Oblivion. Particularly, settlement building
I played it through at least three times without changing anything much only then did I start adding things but yeah, it is truly still the masterpiece of singleplayer games nowadays, I just wish they would release the elder scrolls 6
Skyrim skills limit your build somewhat. And Oblivion has no perks and obnoxious grind to lvl up the skills. Is it that bad? Depends on the player only. I pointed out the features which I find to be a great improvement to the combat mechanic which are absent in oblivion and can't be added with mods(as far as I know). Spells and balance though can be modded to suit one's taste as many other things. P.s. it seems that the devs reworked spell system from oblivion into dragon shouts. Press 1 button to use a spell of your choice...
What I generally don't like in elder scrolls combat (oblivion or skyrim) is that enemies feel either weak, or stupidly enhanced (hp/damage). It is one thing when enemies feel hard and challenging but a whole other thing when they are just buffed to soak damage while having high attack value. Its not about challenge anymore but grinding for better stats/gear or abusing op combo.
Oblivion. It never failed to make Ai-chan laugh whenever Ai-chan's talking with a character and the viewscreen just zooms at their faces lol.
with a considerable cooldown, and lacking the effectiveness. its like saying "yea we removed your hands, but you have cool claws on your arms now!
