    Basically a godfather of Wuxia. So many of his works been tv shows and a lot of xianxia and other CN novels copy his work.
    Return of the Condor Heroes, Sword stained with Royal Blood(good tv show), Smiling Proud Warrior, and The Book and the Sword is my favorites from him.

    You know the trope where the male and female lover being separated when they meet, they get it from him.

    Jin Yong is famous for writing the Condor Trilogy and several other wuxia novels, many of which have been produced into television shows by China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia etc. You can read a lot of his translated works over at WuxiaSociety.

    Why you even know this website if you don't know Jin Yong. Basically I grown up watching legend of condor heroes. I already watching at least 3 remake of condor heroes.

    Well, all good things must come to an end I guess, I like the characters Guo Jing and Yang Guo the best though, such stark contrast yet eerie similarity. And I enjoyed a couple of villains in Jin Yong's works as well.

    Also, he is old. 94 years old. Fujiko Fujio died at the age of 62.

    That's sad. I love Demigods & Semi Devil (Eight Steps of the Heavenly Dragon) and Return of Condor Hero. It's sad that there won't be a chance for more. I wonder if the other authors like Gu Long can carry the torch.

    Also is he the reason why most Chinese Fantasy share the same tropes and story telling structure as well?
