Ok, nitpicking, but this was a bit dumb. He could have just told them that he, or his guild, got himself. or themselves, an information gathering group as a super rare quest reward, so he knew a lot about dungeons and raids and such.
No detail, just something slightly truthful. And they'd believe he got some super quest, since his guild is supposed to be full of monsters.

 

Such a grand gesture for playing a game. NE (nassal exhale, the new LOL)
No offense to gamers, players, and what not. Its just cringy and cliche lines you know when you have a second chance just to play a game though. Please dont hate me for it.

 

I think the point is that he trusts anyone, despite being shafted all his life.

1) forced into contracted servitude, outa high school
2) losing his VRA ability due to being exploited
3) creating the top team in EL pro league, and getting fired for succeeding...

Stop thinking of this as a game, and remember to him, it's his work.

 

I know that, but those things happend to him on a physical and personal level. The game did nothing wrong to him. There is this feeling of that the line itself is out of place for him to say during that scene. For me, the line suitable for that scene is that they are competent, because trust was already there in the first place. That's why he had them joined him. Thats why the line made me cringe

Sigh, sad Asianhobbyist picked it up. Dropping the novel after ch78. Can't stand how they deal with chapters on their site. 1 chapter is split into 4 different pages.
Minor annoyance? Yes it is. But annoyance enough to not make it worth it anymore.

Jeez I can’t help but have a very bad impression of ths group now, I’m not someone very picky with english quality as it’s a free web novel but this kind of quality is ugh.

Oh, boy, the Midas peeps just got butt-gang-stuffed. Now, since goldy-paunch didn't mention the time limit, with all the materials he'll give them, they'll lv up their mastery even faster than in the past, and by the time they figure it out and try to disband the guild just to still be contractually bound, their mastery will be too high to just delete the character. It'll be a vicious cycle where in the future they'll only be able to sell what by the time will be considered inferior goods to other people, which they'll likely won't want, and the good stuff will be monopolized by goldy. And then, as they ge even more mastery, they'll just be producing good stuff and goldy will get his monopoly regardless.
Man, did our mc screw them hard, just as any self respecting business person would.

Is it just me or has the quality really fallen in the last few chapters.

It may just be me but this seems much harder to read.

Because Korean tends to use predicate-subject sentences, both Chamber (previous translator) and I, the editor, have had to do extensive rewrites to make it more easy to read for Americans. Like this would the sentences read following the original Korean.

But this brings up an ethical dilemma...are you here to read my sentences or the author's?

Around chapter 90 I've tried something new...keeping more of the original structure intact while adding enough clues to allow the reader to understand the intent of the author.

This has not gone well, and after comments on the AH website, as of chapter 96(?) I've switched back to rewriting as much as needed to make it easier to read.

This isn't great literature, it's a fun, action packed web novel. So I've reverted to the extensive rewrites, and the translator agrees with me. Better to make it enjoyable, and ignore my nagging conscience.

I'm a fan editor, doing this because I love this novel. Besides, the novel I fell in love with was the extensive rewritten one by Chamber. That's what I should be doing.

So the extensive rewrites are back. Sorry about the "drop in quality".

Honestly sir editor, I don’t think we are in the same page. If you look at chapter 96, the problem doesn’t lie in english that doesn’t feel like english structurally but the grammatical urks that exists almost every paragraph, I believe this is what the other person is talking about too.
