I could give a novel where the male lead has, well, unique views and tries to reject the female lead but ultimately fails, not due to his nature mind you. I found that particular scene very interesting. It's not an isekai but a good novel - Kuzu to Kinka no Qualidea

 

City of Sin(not exactly isekai, mc is not transgresser. But it close. Story, world and characters are amasing without doubt. One of the best novel ever so far.)

Tales of Herding Gods(same points as stated above, only this one is more about cultivation and humor. No, not humor, but Humor.)

Ugh, can't recommend anything else. I have a pretty big list of good novels, but isekai novels are rather bad by default(in that sense they like "cultivation" novels, read one and it would feel like you read them all) and I already forget about all isekai novels that I read(because there nothing interesting to remember). Except maybe for "Sevens", which had amasing center plot story.

 

It feels weird because of the gambling, but once it gets to otherworld part its good all the way

The first few chapters of Avarice can be hard to get through since its has that heavy, tragic, and grim tone. It’s there because the story has a lot of character growth. Once you get past it, the mood gets better and it shows it’s charm. The change of the MC is great. FYI It starts off with a survival game type setting then the other world KR realistic fantasy feel. I started with doubt too at first due to the premise, prologue, and first few chapters. I’d highly suggest you read a few more chapters as you could be missing out on a gem. There’s a reason for it’s popularity and I think it definitely deserves a chance.

 

A lot of good Korean novels have similarly low-key, wicked protagonists.

And I see your recommendations! They look very good! I’m personally interested in The Human Emperor! From what I’ve read!

And your words on Avarice... ugh it’s very hard. I haven’t gotten past chapter two yet.
The tone of the first chapters feels destined for despair, like the calm before the storm.
It’s ... not a good feeling to read about.
What chapter does it actually start? And moves away from the beginning ?

But I saw... the polygamy and harem tag?
Is the polygamy and harem ... like.. focused? Or a central part to the novel? Or an overall theme of it?

At chap 1-3 author only emphasize bad side of human try to persevere your heart well at first I'm stuck at chap 1 when I got nothing to read I'm try to push forward

Yep especially after he arrived at another world you will start getting fantasy feeling and ofc he still can travel to earth so it got fantasy and modern plot, the only minus was the translation release rate

I can't think anything else except cultivation cuz everyone already recommend it, well all Koreans wns were up to your criteria and maybe some western printed books(im too tired to type it)

 

Transmigrating into the novel world is quite similar to second chance novels as both genre mc knows what will happen in future.

Those 3 would be my top choice when trying second chance novels. As you have already tried a few chapters of The Second Coming of Avarice, I would recommend continuing reading it. The chapter length is double of normal Korean novels so even at 62 chapters, its like have 120+ chapters. It was a very satisfying read, I have only recently caught up with it.
