New qidian novel. I liked the first chapters. Does anyone have spoilers? I had the impression that this novel seems to be, but it isn't a cliche. I felt that the half sister and the stepmother seem to be villains, but they are not.

I have read few hundred chapters. (I'll use HM as comparison as I believe most readers of this read that) Good points: 1. They get married pretty fast (no 1 night stand or rape or drug or business transaction or lousy reasons like that) 2. FL is strong after first few chapters. 3. FL has maternal family backing. Not miserably alone like NX of HM) 4. ML's fam is lovely and supportive Point to note: Both FL and ML are pretty low-key as both of them are from business world and not in entertainment. This is a soft, sober story. Bad ppl on FL side: Stepmom, stepsister and Grandma Grandma is evil but I kinda feel pity for her a bit because of her back story. However, doesn't forgive her for her evil deeds. Exfiance- Han Yifan Even though he seems like trash Su Yan at the beginning, he is actually much better than him. I don't really blame him for not falling in love with FL because it was family set up, so personally I feel it's okay. Once everything is exposed, he is not shameless and overconfident like Trash Su Yan to expect her to come back. Grandpa & Daddy Xi: I honestly feel bad for both. Daddy Xi especially. I was annoyed at him in the beginning, but as story progressed felt pity for him. ML: His past has something to do with accidental death of his adopted brother (originally cousin, ML's parents adopted). I haven't read till the end yet, but for some reason ML feels responsible for his death. Some people who were thought to be dead are apparently alive and the whole thing was a huge conspiracy. Ok so that's almost half the story if I remember correctly. I'll probably mtl more when I get some time. Let me know if you have more questions, will try to answer as much as I can.
Dad didn't know about the drug as far as I remember. It was the evil trio women. ML saves her. MC tries to call police, ends up calling the last person called, which was ML's

From what I remember it was Gramdpa. Grandma forced Grandpa. And Grandpa compromised with the condition that this is the last request from Grandma he is ever gonna fullfill. And he stays true to that. Grandma is not Daddy Xi's mom. Grandpa's 1st wife passed away. Grandpa's mom got this Grandma married to Grandpa on the condition that she will never have her own child and was given the entertainment company as compansation. Grandpa never truly loved this 2nd Grandma. This move of his was his was his final payment to her for accompanying him without a child of her own.
So her grandpa sell her to his wife for his happiness and stolen his grandchildren i cant find any pity for this oldman. And his dad sell her for his company to a pervet.
Grandpa didn't want those evil women to drag MC down for those shares. When he dies, he ends up leaving almost everything to MC as far as I remember (not to even Daddy Xi). Read a while ago though. He also destroyed the evidence and blackmail material Grandma Deng used to force Daddy Xi and Mama Shen (MC's mom) to separate and marry this evil woman. That allowed Daddy Xi to divorce this evil wife and go back to Mama Shen
No matter what "plot" was into the dad's marriage he is still a scum piece of sh!t. How does one excuse drugging and selling their daughter to be raped? No excuse needed, no sad back story matters, he is just scum. I hope our FL & ML have nothing to do with them.
Agree with it...he doesnt deserve to be called dad...he never once tried to help ..he is just a puppet for those two women
Dad didn't plot her. Neither did Grandpa. It was Grandma Deng and step mom Yue's plan. Dad will help her bitch slap them in a while.
