So according to the theory of evolution, about hundreds of millions of years ago every living things in this world begin as a somekind of a Lizard-Fish Amphibians thingy... ...That also includes humans right? So, maybe... What if like... Hypothetically, of course... I stumbled across a time machine inside my study desk and then just for fun went and go on a pleasure fishing trip to like 100,000,000 years ago to fish me some prehistoric tuna or something to cook and eat... Uh so... Considering what I said earlier, does it mean that I actually... might I actually accidentally ate somebody's ancestors? ...of course it is all just an example of course.
I'm sure it'll be fine right, survival of the fittest and all that~ Or you might return to a world ruled by lizard people ~~~
Well, depends on if you view it from a "butterfly effect" point of view or rather the "parallel timelines" theorie. And time travel is great! Without the concept there would be no Doctor Who! Or all those reincarnation novels, though that's not as heavy an argument
Well, considering you are talking about humans evolving from the same source as other animals on the planet and such, I'm assuming you are not a religious person. So yes, I would say it is likely that some animal you eat some hundreds of millions of years ago might be the ancestor of one(or all) of us. And you might just end up causing the extinction of humanity before it even began... Luckily for me, I am a religious person so I don't have to bother with this type of shit distracting me by suddenly popping in my mind. edit: of course, that is only if you actually go back in time in the same timeline and not create an alternate timeline by going back.
theory is that nothing will happen to the original timeline you come from. but you going back will create another timeline on its own existence that will have different changes across history. and also, you'd be stuck in that new timeline stream.
...what if that tuna was your ancestor and you created a time paradox and shit happened and universe split in half and one has magic and you isekai-ed into that other half to avoid the time paradox getting on your ass and got a harem and then was summoned by gods to fight against yourself in another crazy-ass universe and you rebelled and became an Elder God and blah blah... I think I need to go see a doctor.
Just try not to go too far back or do something too major. Sorry but no killing Hitler before WW2. It's been working out fine for me.
You just need to mind 2k something years of inbreeding, not any better. Fortunately, I believe in Sun Wukong so idc.
Being serious for a minute and actually putting aside the ways for time travel, if someone from our time went to that far past there is a VERY high chance that they might die of carbon or oxygen poisoning depending on the time period . Back then the atmosphere was hellish so ur biggest concern would be how breathe much less fish in waters containing some of the MOST dangerous animals to ever exist on earth
I think that's possible, but you won't cause the extinction of human. I believe unless you do somethin huge, the timeline will fix itself. So another fish will evolve. But i also believe that your body will bring dormant evolved bacterias & viruses from the future, and those will evolve further in the past, and the end result might not be human as we know it
Wwll, those are interesting theory ...so I might just doomed some alternate earth history but not mine? Phew... So, how do I get back? I think they already did that and made video games out of it.
I don't like the idea of time travel because I think that it would be too dangerous not just for the time jumper, but for the rest of the world as well. I don't believe in multiple timelines. But it would be cool though you know? I would take winning lottery numbers back in time and win me some good money. Then I'd throw of that money at a good anime company and completely buy it out and have them churn out anime for me repeatedly. Then I'd kidnap translators and then throw money at them to make them willing to stay with me and have them churn out more translations as well. Then I'd spend the rest of my days lazing around watching anime and reading novels.
you don't once you change time a you that succeeded and a you that failed will exist desu so the "you" that exist will depend solely on chance desu a fun game that tackles this is SOMA desu
