Wow, this thread got stupid fast. Why are we suddenly discussing religion and morality on a thread about an odd Japanese video? Well, if we're gonna do this, then let's do this. "That's not true and you know it" is not an argument, it's an attempt at claiming someone else believes the same thing you do. Your arguing partner clearly disagreed with you on this point. If you have some expert on morality backing up your claim, or a case study on the subject, or anything of the sort to point to, that is how you could make your case more effectively. "I believe it, so it's true" is not an argument that will convince anyone. On the case of previous points on Japan's population problems, I can assure you it isn't a problem of religious beliefs. Yes, they have ceremonies involving children. And yes, though it takes a different form than we're used to in the U.S., they do have some rather widespread religion in the form of Shintoism and Buddhism. A definitive cause for the decline in birthrate has not been pinned down, but there are a number of things mentioned in news articles; fewer young people having sex, more career-focused women who aren't interested in having children, etc. But the thing I find most convincing (<--personal opinion there) is an article talking about the lack of economic opportunities. Young men, still expected to be the breadwinners in Japanese society, aren't finding as many careers that give them enough financial stability to support a family. So, believing they cannot provide for children, they don't have them.
Saying my point is not an argument is not an argument See what I did there? My point is pretty clear: media makes the culture and Japanese culture is deviant eg octopus sex You mention buddhism etc Going to a festival does not make one religious A simple Google search and you will find statements like this: Religion does not play a big role in the everyday life of most Japanese people today. I hate to break it to you, but I am a stickler for facts I do not add my personal opinions when making my points because I consider it pointless
Such argument. Much pro. Wow. "Media makes the culture" <-- opinion "Japanese culture is deviant" <-- opinion "Going to a festival does not make one religious" <-- what are you even on about? "Religion does not play a big role in the everyday life of most Japanese people today." <-- and neither does it play a role for most Americans, even ones who claim to be Christians, in their "everyday life". You do honestly need to get better at reading comprehension; friendly advice. Like I said, it takes a different form than we're used to in the U.S.; they don't go to a religious ceremony every x day of the week, but they go to temples and shrines, they offer incense, they pray. They have ceremonies, mostly for specific religious occasions. Just because they don't emphasize their religion every day doesn't mean they have no religion. Keep working on your facts, but I've got a rule that I don't stick around for arguments with people who aren't willing to listen.
Yes, global warming which I also mentioned is my personal opinion too If you cannot win an argument, you attack the person. Great job! There is a reason religious cult are so powerful because religion is effective if used properly Oh well, talking to someone who deals in fallacies is a waste of time Given that simple fact like Media makes the culture that are so widespread that it is common sense are denied by you, talking further with you will just make me dumber
Please teach me how! Days by days I realize that I slowly no longer care about an actual female human while craving more and more of anime girls. I don't want to be like this....
I think it's conditioning. Watch the live action equivalent of anime = softcore porn When you hear enough people call a live action girl pretty, you start to buy it. The same way with American Pie, took me years to get over my obsession with big breasted MILF. A couple of wuxia later and it was give me flat chested or give me death
I agree with you. It's that and even when they have a job, they're usually worked (literally in some cases) to death and dont have time for proper family interaction. I think it's less conditioning and more of a deficiency in being able to distinguish fictions/dreams/etc and reality. Also, that last line is HERESY!
Being in Japan, one of my co-workers mentioned he and his wife aren’t having children because of how expensive it is. In my opinion, it probably doesn’t help that they don’t live in the same city either.
Humans are impressionable. I am very careful about the type of media that I consume. I stay away from tragedy or anything that promotes defiant behavior We are like a blank slate for our environment to write on. I rather only butterflies and roses be written on my slate What is the issue with the last line? I was exaggerating, but I no longer find issues with B cups
You should watch the episode of the video that is on South Korea: similar low birth rate and low marriage rate and prostitution(and porn) is even illegal but they still have a lot more sex
Yes!!! Only if you have outstanding face and money will it be easy~... PS: I'm saying this from a certain country. PPS: wanna try? •_•'
But in my country is more harsh than that you dont need an outstanding face even if you got some pocket to cleaned you can got some chicks
I'm just going to sidestep the poetry and not go there. Sorry, it's a partially conditioned response from having a group of gaming friends who are unashamedly self-admitted lolicons. So anything like 'give me flat-chest or give me death' triggers the old alarm. Great mates are they but many a good-natured war had occurred over the loli problem.
