Arawn, who was interested in magic, had been sitting in during the lesson. Afterwords, he approaches Ryul.
"Here is my donation to you as thanks for letting me be here."
Arawn hands over 8 Large Copper Coins with a large smile on his face.

 

Covered in flower petals, Ryul exclaims, "Arawn! This is way too much!"

"I can't possibly take this much from you!"

 

"It's definitely worth it." Arawn coughs sheepishly.
"I once tried my hand at a formalized education... But it didn't go so well. For me, this is rather useful."

 

"Well, if you insist. I can only refuse so many times." Ryul still looks guilty as he accepts the coins.

He suddenly has a moment of enlightenment. "Why don't I give you a few more pointers since you're already here? You might learn a thing or two."

OOC: You should totally get a minor spell for your character for this.

 

"Sure, I'd love that!"
OOC: For now, I'm planning on keeping Arawn away from magic, just to see how I manage things without resorting to it. I'll probably be forced to get some when/if I get to higher ranks or try a dungeon. But not quite yet.

 

OOC: Gotcha, I totally understand. Ryul is pretty much static for the foreseeable future too.

Takako's Random Magic Items​

To practice the arts of making circuit, Takako has been making a lot of magic items recently without actually putting in use. So she thought of selling some of the less weird than the rest rather well-made to get some pocket changes.

Do note that Takako is not exactly good at this, and the materials she used is cheap so the effect is not too extraordinary. And since circuit technology is difficult to master, expect a lot of faulty items with small harmful effect. She'll get better eventually, just you wait!

Takako can be found in an odd-looking carriage in the parking area near the Adventurer's Guild on Moon Day. You'll notice it right away, as it doesn't have front driver seat. She does guild jobs on other days of the week however, so she may or may not be in town.

Prices can be negotiated. And each item has only one copy since Takako only made them to practice, so if you want an already sold item or multiple copies of an item, you'll have to request and wait till next week.

List of currently available items:

• Portable Water Cup (5 large copper coins): So you go on a long trip and have to bring a huge barrel of water that take up a large space? No worry as this cup can produce up to 2 liters of pure water everyday. It does also produce a very bad smell when not in use though, so make sure to quarantine it carefully.
• Magic Telescope (8 large copper coins): This item will let you see faraway objects clearly, up to a distance of 500 meters. Though you need an unshaken will to use it, as a simple touch will induce a full body itch.
• Orb of Light (3 large copper coins): A small orb that produce a gentle light in the dark. Those under the direct light will feel heavily sleepy but not able to sleep, friends and foes alike.

 

((Mmmmmmm, can you tone that down a bit? Or at least add something that says your elemental felt very tired after that or something...

I mean, if any mid-level nature mage could make grass grow quickly and flowers sprout everywhere, you'd have to wonder how would hunger ever be a problem, the state could just hire a few nature mages to make food grow super fast and then distribute it in a greatly lowered price...

It's fine to have growth spells, but I don't like the implications of this scale of growth being relatively easy... >.>


On a side note, the guild has an 18-years old girl working in it that is named Nina, so I laughed a bit when you put a girl in the orphanage that also had that name~))

OOC: Yes and that's why I exactly why I made this.
These are not big items with some pattern drawing on it, but wooden stuff and some pebbles + metal attaching to it. The enchanting part is done on those pebbles. Since they are small and the enchanting on each part is not necessary to be complex (i.e even "a bit hotter" kind of enchanting), the cost for making them is also small, in exchange for a lot of unexpected effects.
Well if it's still not approved then guess I'll have to wait till high rank and raise the prices

Chaurus Powder

Description:
If you ever suffer from a stroke, just take a dose of this powder and your spasms will stop in a couple of minutes. Can relieve (not cure) the poison from some snake bites. Ingredients are limited so it can be expensive. Buy it here: Zinc's Shop

Ingredients:

• Dried Small Chaurus
• A bucket of water
• A bottle of antidote

Directions:

1. Take one pre-dried small Chaurus and crush it into powder.
2. Dilute the bottle of antidote with the bucket of water and mix well.
   
3. As the sun had dried out most of the poison, there are still a bit left, so mix the powder with the diluted antidote to significantly weaken the poison.
4. After making a caky, doughy mix, let out to dry for a day to temper the poison in order to make it harmless to the body.
5. Once the mix has been dried again, crush it into powder once more.
   
6. Divide the mix into 1 gram dosages.

When giving to a patient, make sure to take with water. Don't mix beforehand. For snake bites, apply on the wound and bandage.
