Discussion do u fantasize different endings for novels?

A lot of novels start out strong but then the characters get muddled by love, or they end up with a scummy guy i wasnt rooting for.

it does not mean i didnt enjoy reading it starting out, i just enjoy dreaming up alternative endings instead, where the fL found a better guy, or everything got unravelled in the end and people truly regretted what they did.

But anyways i was wondering if anyone daydream the same, or do they not take it as a real ending and just put up with the true plot the author dreamed of.

I've seen a lot of ATG fanfics with the MC stealing all of Yun Che's girls and treat him like shit. It's soo satisfying to read.

 

i feel like fanfics tend to derail too much

sometimes i dont even care about the main characters, i just dream about the villains or an interesting side characters.

i always find it weird that authors can write great characters that are just side characters and their own main character so dumb..

 

I kinda believe that is wish fulfilment on the authors' side, knowing that inserting themselves into MC, they inevitably dumb them down, so they created very smart people to be used as decorations or props to show how "smart" MC is.

 

i see, the wish fullfillment makes sense, to be noticed by cool people or have a cool companion, or maybe to beat down a villain thats cooler than you.. LOL

 

Yah, I do that all the time, but the satisfaction is really not like the author made it.
Even if I think differently, the real plot ending is still hitting me hard.

 

true, the real plots a thorn on the side, its only satifying between updates when i can still dream, but once the real updates come up, my imagined good ending feels like a weak attempt to escape a bitter reality. :'V

Mostly those novels with silly and rushed endings, endless hiatus and stopped by real life events. This also apply to other medium even non japanese or asian novels.

 

more often for me its cause the ending is "weak". Take BTTH; last 100~200 chapters seem way too rushed, hell some story elements seemed to be dropped. Like the dragon girl what happened with her? phoenix girl/clan? HJC was the same way great story but the execution after he starts to get his army going was a rapid down spiral. [hell he didn't even kill the final boss]

I imagine that main girl actually had unawakened godly powers in her that she couldn't control which led to her "changed personality" respecting money and power and that this godly power had changed the people around her into caring about their one true desire no matter the consequences

For dramas, yes, a lot of times
That is why I love Shushengbar
They have HE= Happy Ending and TE= Tragic Ending
