Hi all, hi @Tony , I hesitated to post this suggestion but i finally decided to post it anyway.. (after 2 years?) This suggestion is to add a share button to posts (threads, blogs, profiles..) and upon clicked on the button we can send an alert to all our followers to come see the shared post. Of course, we need also to add some options in alert preference: -to not get those alerts if we want (and/or blacklist some alerts?) -to not get twice (or X number) the summoning to the same threads (if you share a post and a friend share the same post and so on...) or just make this option by default? Goal : Increase the activity on nuf, making the following even more useful, no need to type all the names for summoning,... True Goal : Increase the power of Sects! Summons all the disciples with a single click! Spoiler: Idea That's it, i can finally have a peace of mind by sharing this idea~~
I might be wrong, but I think that if you are following someone, you do get these updates automatically. But I might be wrong.
Perhaps your own posts can be shared to alert followers (I haven’t seen it), but there definitely isn’t an option to share other people’s. This feature would be really interesting. One caveat would be the need to have some shared posts bundled. Ie [Feature Request] Share Button has been shared by @sufod01, @MangoGuy, and 3 other people. It would also be nice to see how many times something has been shared somewhere in the forums itself, and perhaps even the ability to sort by the number of times something has been shared. Further integration could be something like being able to share novels from novelupdates or scribblehub on the forums. This could be a nice feature for the SH forum as well. They may be seperate but both have books in similar genres >_>
You don't get any alerts from what people do when you follow them, it's only a thing of having them appear in your news feed. That said, I loved this feature, would be great if it was implemented~ ... A shame Tony-chan rarely makes stuff for NUF... orz
I love the idea!!! but developing the forums isn't my thing. That's more of https://xenforo.com/'s job. Maybe one day if I have a lot of free time, I'll think it over. Thanks!
