I have gotten too fat and am wondering if I really should lose the weight. I used to be fit and used to go to gym alot, i was getting more dating success, but i have gotten fat in recent months. And am too lazy to lose it, i dont get as much dating success but i dont care for it, but i feel more low energy. But I am still wondering if losing wieght is worth it

The definition of 'too fat' can be extremely differing.
Imo, if you're fat enough to have health problems (mental, physical & social), then you should probably adapt or lose some weight.

Yes of course. More healthy, agile, and attractive. You have more self-esteem.

If you like your knees, then losing some weight is ideal.

Well it's sorta good thing to do. Also a bit anecdote but if you cut drinking soda or just drink water all the time you might lose a few weight.

Depends on what you want to do, do you want to laze around all day with food as your best and closest friend? then don't and continue to gain weight, or do you want to be fit and healthy? go back to gym or do some light exercice.

Just the mental health benefits alone make it more than worth it

This is where my autism kicks in. You see statistically. Less than 10% of people who try to loose weight actually do. Then less than 1% of people that loose weight actually keep it off for a year. So that 1% of less than 10%. And the vast majority end up gaining the weight they lost and more back. So unless you plan on doing something dramatically different than most I would say no. Not worth it. In fact it’s most likely to make you fatter this time next year.

We need to be fit so we are ready when they transport us to another world.

well joking aside, it is always worth it to be able to move your body as well as you imagine it to be(within the laws of physics).
I don't exactly know how fat you are but try to keep within the standard bmi. If you want more dating success then by all means do it.
If not just go for it for the health benefits since it comes to bite you back HARD when you get older.

Thats def true, last time i lost weight it took me lots of effort and i had to go to gym and eat only one meal a day to keep it off. its very brutal that we have to do this. Wish i could vomit food out or digest faster

That's normal for some, anyway its totally up to you though.
Just being normal, and having control over the food you have daily can also help. But it also depends on how you look. For example there was this guy I saw 9 years ago, he had around 90KG weight but he wasn't fat.
I'm never worried about that, because if I don't have foods on time then I lose fat and weight slowly.

There’s a great website. The psychology of eating. Also there is some promising research into fasting with Dr fung. none of it is old enough for the data to prove its a better way. But the data shows much more promise than any other way currently or historically discussed.

This is why I really don't care about statistics. You give up way before you even try. In order to lose weight you need a strong motivation, self-discipline, and regular exercise (you need to be sweating and heart beating, high intensity, low intensity, and resistance exercises). Family support is necessary at times too.

It's going to be hard to change your dietary habits into healthy foods, if your other household members indulge in unhealthy foods or just don't care about exercising.

Asians in general, being overweight or obese increases our risk to a large selection of diseases more so than Caucasians or Africans if you use statistics. When looking at statistics you really need to look into the organizational bias, relationships with other organizations, people in charge of the survey, hidden agenda, etc.

Back to the OP's question, yes its worth it. Slightly overweight is not any issue, just don't be underweight either. Everything in moderation. You don't really need to go to the gym either, but look up military style exercises with just your body.
