Well, if Van determines that it's safe to go over then we might see some fun stuff longer term. In the short term, just Van going over by himself should be good fun. Eg, imagine Origin's full military trying to do something to Van (or the place he is at) and him casually swatting them.

As for longer term fun, imagine Van deciding to go play "trick or treat" on Halloween...?

If I remember right at some point in the early parts of the novel it was said that Van could increase his mana capacity by using all of his mana. I couldn't remember if I was right or not or where in the story it came from.

 

Yes that's what Zadris was talking about when she was saying how one can normally get +40% (is it the right number?) of their initial mana. There is also growth connected to new jobs, that is separate, and in Schneider's case seems to be much greater than training growth.
Strength analogue:
Using mana - muscle training
Level-up mana increase - Level-up strength increase

 

It was shortly after joining the ghouls and zadaris started teach van magic. You don't have to use all your magic, but when you spend magic, you increase your capacity by about .5% to 1% of the mana you spend. The more mana you spend, the greater your capacity increases. It was explained a bit around chapter 13-14 I think, but it first occured in chapter 1 when his mana went up 600 for doing some magic.

Actually there someone that post his/her calculation in old web. I think they said 1.01 x mana, ugh forgot but maybe there are copy of his!/her coment in lnbastion discord

 

Van himself said it was less than 1% in chapter 14-

but I knew it had to at least be 0.5% so I just put .5 to 1%

 

.5℅ is still 500k for Van

 

.5% for in the current chapters is 150 mil! Just think about that. He can increase his mana buy 150 mil + every day if he wanted to.

 

Oh that is correct. Mana grows when he goes to zero, that's why he was doing so much of age reversing.

I decided to read around.. and it seems I may have been wrong. I thought the 600 mana he got when he was a baby was from using the disenfecting and bug killing death attribute spells, but I reread and noticed his mana didn't go up from spending half his mana while looking for darcia when she didn't return home... I can only guess bloodsucking is what increased his mana?

Edit: Though now that I think about it, he drank blood again before setting out to look for darcia, and his mana didn't rise, so I don't know how his mana raised by 600 in chapter 1 unless the author was just forgot to raise his mana in his status in chapter 2

Its unfortunate that no one between bravers tried to make poses before transforming just for joke sake lol. Hope to see such scene soon, maybe amemya hiroto encontering avalon face to face and doing poses while answering any of avalon' questions to piss rokudo off? Possible.

 

My guess, probably because of age.

 

Even that doesn't really make sense. As far as I am aware, age doesn't effect mana, it affects other stats, but not mana. And then there is this a few chapters later (2 months have passed). he is up to 100,001,200, then gets his first 3 levels, goes up to 100,001,203. Then 4 months later when he is level 100, he only has 100,001,223.

So level appears to have a tiny affect on mana, but seems inconsistent? and that doesn't explain the 1200? assuming the 23 all came from levels...

 

Actually, that just reinforces the age theory. I'm not looking at lore, I'm just looking at the pattern.

As for the hangup you have on the lore, can you quote where it says age has nothing to do with it?
