i don't see the problem, their commercials are funny too they are smart for that, pirating is the way to go excluding china with their immense population kinda surprising that SK is having so many views too that or the cinema tickets are expensive

Not necessarily, there is no law that stated foreign movies must be delayed. If there are delays, it usually due to time constraints and scheduling issues. Japan produces a lot of movies each year (many of it are otaku trash) and you need to book your slot a year in advance or you'll only get the worst time slot that nobody wants. In a region where the main mode of transportation is the train (which stops working at midnight), midnight screens are very undesirable. So when delays happen, it's usually the case of the foreign producer or importer not wanting to get terrible timeslots as they failed to book the timeslot early. In the case of Endgame, the Japanese release is only 4 days after USA release. Obviously, Marvel has learned their mistake. The reason for Endgame not performing very well probably has something to do with Brie Larson.
Many people from various countries disliked her, but Endgame still tops the chart. How is it any different for Japan?
Her press remarks aside (which did cause quite a stir among netizens, though nobody really cares other than the trolls) her short hair and attitude in the movie was offputting. There were posts in ameba that called her onnanoko and boys and girls alike disliked her appearance. Boys called her 'boy with tits' while girls called her, "not onee-sama" (or something like that, different posts say different things with similar ideas).
That was for people who followed her actions in real life. Most people didn't know anything about her outside the movie or didn't care enough. Her movie made a billion dollars anyways despite protests and boycott threats. Same thing happened for Endgame as you said, it topped the charts everywhere and no one cared for her drama.
Funny or not, it depends on one's sense of humor. The previous thread was just showing someone bitching because the place he's living is not to his liking. Try to live in third world country, or conflict country, see if it's funny. But I gotta to admit, Japan is funny.... And weird... You got problem with that? Talk to @Tony
