I remember trying to read this web serial years ago and even then I still read your thread title and thought it was about a computer worm that infected webnovel.com. I have failed at internet interpretation.

it can start a little dry in the beginning of each arc, but it does build up to some great stuff. It took me forever to finish worm and i've only read the first chapter of ward (the sequel in the same universe)

Read it, it's great. Arc 7 is where you will love it.
It's about Taylor a bullied teenage girl who gain powers. I don't want to spoil it but she ends up in the villain side.

She wanted to start off as a heroic cape initially but this and that happens and she got attached to a villain group instead.

There's no overused despair and fall to evil or the like. Most of the cape system is like a game really, the villain doesn't do too bad and the heroes try to stop them. The main enemies need to be fought by everyone regardless of affiliation after all - you'll learn about them soon enough.

Of course some doesn't conform to the system, but everyone come down hard on these few. Unfortunately they tend to be strong enough to defy the society in the first place.

When you put it like this, well that's pretty much the explanation the Adult Capes in the 'Cape High' series give the Teenage Capes. That's a pretty decent series with a good release rate that focuses on quite a cast of characters.

The whole premise of the story can be compared to a trainwreck that keeps spiraling out of control but you cant help but keep looking. Kind of like Code Geass if you ever watched it,

well fleighfire meant that a lot of things go out of control, alternatively too the way the story is going. I meant that while things take you by suprise in code geass i didnt think it was the same as worm imo

Midoriya is not bad. It is just a pop culture story. You are in the minority.
    Positive stories are more popular.
Many might call it cliché but the formula works.
People have recommended worm and ward but like most western novels even mother of Learning, I have not been impressed.
Novelty is very important. When a story feels too familiar, you might not enjoy it even though it's good.
    P. S I am looking for stories where the female lead is the CEO. Live Action preferred.
    Cheers!

I’m not really into Worm...angst just doesn’t do it for me.

I have a whole bunch David Weber, and John Ring books...and I’m currently reading Chinese novels with a pro violence bend. :p

I've not read Worm, but if you just want a villain main (and don't mind it being a comedy), you might try FFF Class Trashero.
