Yeah, I don't think that author is going to write something of comparable quality to Lord of the Mysteries.

Everyone here praises the lord of mystery too much. The mc is nowhere smart enough as leylin from wmw or fang yuan from RI.

Of course it's impossible for it to be in the same level as "lord of the mysteries" but it's a pretty good and enjoyable read.. those who read his previous works will enjoy it.. plus its one of the good novels of western power settings(rare)

They praise the plot of LoTM and MC's personality not his IQ (which obviously scientists and millennia old reincarnated individuals will have greater in proper execution).

Sorry mate,Leylin just satisfied people's strong desire for a villianous Protagonist—hell even Reverand insanity beats in that department.Fy and RI arguably come close but overall,Even they can't compare to LOTM in plot, depth and story. Also Klein doesn't lose out to those two in intellect and at times is even superior in that aspect.

What impressed me today & reminded me why i absolutely loved LOTM was Klein's Ingenious use of his flame jumping abilities during the meteor shower in the htl,I must say the raws can't compare, even though I've read ahead and am upto date i still read the two normal daily chapter-releases since a novel like LOTM is much more enjoyable in my first language.

I have read LOTM until ch 120. There were too many info dumps and the mysteries were solved using magic instead of relying on wits or clues.

This novel has complex world building so at the beginning there is lot of info and explainations about how the supernatural works.
The concept of magic here is very unique.
After that the plot picks up and it becomes better.

People continue to forget or tend to disregard and ignore his recent Transmigration from a life as a normal Shut-in-Fatass-keyboard-warrior with no special or distinctive features.Special emphasis on his Identity as a Keyboard-warrior since it's served him well in this new world.:p

I've read upto latest raws and it definitely beats all the chinese novel i have read so far. I will go as far as to say the writing is better than Er Gens, personally.

I don't think Klein is smart, he underestimates money too much.
Medieval Europe and Western Magic is always a lot more fun than cultivation. That is why Japanese anime are so popular.
    Magic trumps cultivation.
Klein is simply more relatable to the average Joe but I needed a lot of convincing to not drop it.
The "Tsukkomis" which finally got translated into English for once are a chore to read but clichés work for a reason. That maybe the case, but I am not a fan of the comedy. It is overused

Was waiting for LotM to pile up before reading them. The hype is so huge that I doubt it will be as great as others make it out to be.

Er Gen is overrated, many read it because translators recommended it and there was a lot of Word of mouth. Same with IET.
The authors are smart. I know many Ph.D professors quit their job to write online since it's more lucrative.
But it's still gold colored shit.
If people read a novel(by Er Gen or IET) on a blind, without knowing the author, they would rate it worse.
    Peace!

there are 474 chapters that have been translated, so I think it's okay to read it. as for the storyline, I think it's very good and honestly even some famous JP Novel like mahouka are far below this novel when it comes to storyline and plot. and what make me like LoTM so much is the ending of each volumes, they are so touching. it's rare to read novels, especiallly webnovel, with a very touching conclusion.

but at the end of the day, whether you will love this novel or not is decided by your taste and preference.

yes, ergen is overrated. so is IET

what if I tell you that most of novels I currently read are novels that I read without knowing the author and came to love it, but you are not wrong either. I got to know LoTM because a friend told me about cuttlefish's newest novel, and I won't go read novels from authors who are known to write garbage novel *cough* tdg *cough*
