I remembered a fujoshi character I read about once and got thinking about this. I also thought how I like yuri a lot and it makes me think most readers are girls.

I once read through some chapters of QT BL novel, but didn't notice the label at first. Now I know, that I am definitely hetero, but I enjoyed reading some Shounen Ai manga just for the comedy.
    P.S.:
    It was a TRAP.

I’m as straight as they come, but even I wouldn’t say I hate the genre. In fact if there is an interesting twist or cheat. I would read it.

Bold of you to assume there aren't hetero, bisexuals, or asexual women/men among the readers including non-humans, non-living, and trans-dimensional entities.

I, a hetero unicorn, quite enjoy some BL stories. I'm a sucker for romance regardless of gender.

I don’t think hetero men read bl. I’ve only read one by accident and dropped it after I found out.

Straight guy, I'm reading BL as any other stories, the sexual orientation of the MC have little influence on me liking it or not. A boring story with a straight MC will stay a boring story with an gay MC in most cases.

Most BL made for actual queens is Bara, instead of the normal pretty boy stuff.

    Given the statistics...

Where women are 50% of the population and don't mind reading BL...

While there are about 80% guys who won't touch these stuff,

I'm pretty sure there are more girl readers...

Ps; and there's 20% of me being wrong here coz all the statistics were made up

As a woman myself, I enjoy yuuri, if the story is good. I also enjoy more male oriented stories, and I know a lot of other girls who do.

The other way round is a bit rarer, I wonder why (like, my male friends would recommend me stuff and I would at least try and often like the recommendation. But whenever I recommend something, josei/shoujou/shonen ai, to them, they rarely like it).

The only men that call themselves fudanshi are gay or bi. And then again, they usually enjoy much more hardcore stuff than I do, like bara (which is intended for gay men).

Same here. I like it when there's a good villain involved or the story itself is interesting without requiring the BL part to show up.
