Non-Fic Ever wondered how traps were made in the old days?

In the olden days, traps were made just like horror movies. They abruptly jump at your face when you don't pay attention

Im not so sure about pheasant but rabbit traps with high success rate can be made with a string tied into a noose, just place on a rabbit trail and enjoy your free rabbit. Granted you would have to know how to find one

The term is rabbitsu run. You’re better off using a good, springy tree branch to set up a simple figure 4 noose trap to instantly break the rabbitsu neck..wire loop traps slowly strangle the bunny.

 

i mean the noose + snappy tree is what i was thinking of when i made my post, but you still only need a string of some sort to make it(trees are everywhere in a forrest) and from what iv seen its not that hard to do as the rabbit is gonna run right through the loop to trigger it so its not like one of those snap trigger traps where you gotta take the weight into consideration for it to trigger

 

Unfortunately, noose traps have to be made with wire. Otherwise rabbitsu teeth will cu string, or cord. As mentioned, wire loops strangle...
