I think this is a no-brainer. I know Eren is not the best person. If Zeke wants to die, then just die. Don't drag the whole race with you.
Spoiler: Spoiler To be clear, I still think that Eren is planning on doing the "Rumbling" thing and end everything peacefully... well not really, but I don't think Eren is going to go on a power trip to murder every last non-Eldian on the face of the planet. Eren's dad did say "To think that such a... for a terrifying thing to happen..." but we don't know what he means by terrifying. I'm sure he's a really good judge of terribleness given his life experiences though. To add to that, things turning out terrible probably isn't part of Eren's goal. It's just what ended up happening. At the very least, we know that Eren's dad thinks he's working on the goal of "Saving the Eldians".
