I came across this article on NPR and I am a little surprised that the issue around "revenge porn" has become so far out that it's being discussed as free speech. I have difficulty getting my head around (no pun intended!) why anyone would willingly film themselves in intimate/compromising photos, and risk the chance that the material could be leaked. Is filming your own deed absolutely necessary for sexual gratification? I won't sugarcoat this. I want to know what kind of porn, if any, you would film. I get that there are victims of revenge porn whose pictures or videos were taken without their knowledge or consent ... hidden cameras, roofies, excessive alcohol, emotional blackmail, etc. Those instances are NOT under consideration for this poll. So strap on your (no pun intended!) thinking hats, craft your porn star names and let's get it on!! Multiple choices are allowed!! [NSFW image removed] And I'm putting a temp gag order on @Ai chan ... given her bawdy humor and preference for black on yellow Couple of basic definitions to get out of the way ... Porn(ography): any explicit description/depiction of sexual material (images, videos, text, etc) for purposes of sexual arousal or gratification, intended for personal/single/multiple audiences. Paris Hilton's boobs on the internet is porn. Paris Hilton's boobs on National Geographic is not. Yea I'm totally dating myself here Soft-core Porn: porn that does NOT show actual penetration, ejaculation, intercourse, genitals, etc. Hard-core Porn: go ask your mom. Revenge Porn: revealing or sexually explicit images or videos of a person posted on the Internet, typically by a former sexual partner, without the consent of the subject and in order to cause them distress or embarrassment. Nonconsensual pornography (NCP): the distribution of private, sexually explicit images of individuals without their consent. Recorded Sexual Assault (RSA): the image or video capture of a sexual assault, typically by a rapist, to further humiliate a victim and/or discourage them from reporting the crime. Sextortion: the act of threatening to expose a nude or sexually explicit image in order to get a person to do something such as share more nude or sexually explicit images, pay someone money, or perform sexual acts.
No, porn is for fapping to, not filming. Tho, I wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall when it is being shot.
But this is far better, no more something strange like male pregnant, male waxing, or men can get menstruation or something like that
I honestly thought this was a @lychee poll when i saw the title on the NU main page @Harry @SenjiQ so true. I'd say maybe. Even then it would only be "normal" 1 guy/1girl stuff and not any of that really hard core stuff.... except for maybe reverse gangbang with me and a ton of girls.
I'm not going to answer the poll with the votes public! I think this is a challenging issue, and actually has similarities to the poll I just posted around the same time as yours. Specifically: what lengths would you be willing to go to please your partner? I think all of us have different limits, and all of us have different degrees of skepticism that we have even for the people we trust the most in the world. You might say that it is incredibly stupid to trust in a boyfriend/husband/etc -- because statistically speaking they are far more likely to betray you than even a stranger (lol) -- but that doesn't really stop people for wanting to trust people who are important to them. Love causes people to be stupid, and even then I think I still have zero regrets.
When people do their own little pornograohy, It's less of Sexual satisfaction, but more of boosting your own confidence, or in a more direct way of saying it, stroking your ego... More than once, I've been asked if I was gonna do porn... which I doubt I ever will. It's not that I look down upon it, nor do I disapprove of it (though, there are some cases of pornography where I just despise it), It's a billion dollar business, that's already saying something. Some would say they're abusing and exploiting themselves, but what gives them the right to say that? Why wouldn't someone use his/her own good attributes for more benefits? Instead of exploiting, it's more of taking advantage (In a good way)... But honestly, there are more ways of getting money, it's just that this certain job recquires you to be quite thickskinned, for the exchange of easy earnings... Though, there are some that do it for the sole purpose of sexual pleasure, in some certain circumstances, I would look down on it. But most of the time, I'd respect their decision. It's their life and they're trying to be happy... no matter how weird it is for other people's standards...
On a technical note. How do you change the votes to not be public? Are your votes visible? Or only the collated number? Just removed the "display votes publicly" option. Wasn't sure if that was it.
> why anyone would willingly film themselves in intimate/compromising photos, and risk the chance that the material could be leaked. People do it as a gift for their partners, and as part of erotic play - for their sex lives and/or that of their partner. Sometimes their trust is abused by people who feel contempt for human suffering.
...... A few nudes of ex to masterbate to is about the extent of my self made porn, even those were destroyed after the breakup. Never had the desire to post picts/videos out of revenge.
Also, private videos with sexual content isn't porn. But the moment it's open for the public to see, then that's pornography... A lot of people here seem to be confused about the difference...
Fun fact: If you are a woman, you are statistically more likely to be shot by your own husband/boyfriend than by a stranger.
None, I don't look good enough. Though people might pay me to put my cloths back on Also I don't think revenge porn is ever okay. I know people say that you shouldn't put something out there if you don't want it shared but part of being in a relationship means you expose yourself. For example saw a girl yelling at a guy an insulting him after he broke up with her. She brought up his suicide attempt. Another time a guy spread around that he dumped his girl friend because she had too much baggage. He basically told everyone that she had nightmares about a traumatic experience she had. He told everyone I won't repeat it. For the record she dumped him. Want to spend the rest of your life with someone your gonna end up giving them dirt on you somehow.
Yea couldn't think of the right word for it. Figure it's easier to follow the official definition of porn, which is just sexual material used for sexual gratification. Whether the intended audience is for yourself, someone else, or multiple people. The more modern understanding is content that distributed beyond 1 person, usually for monetary purposes.
Well, some people get sexual gratification from exposing themselves and some people just love having sex. If you can get paid doing what you like, then why not? It's also much safer than prostitution since porn studios do regular health screenings. It's not even an issue if you only do solo scenes or scenes with your own partners as an "amateur". Hmm, I wonder why...
I just don't see why that has to be a gift. There are plenty of ways to show devotion, or expose vulnerability. Why does it have to be something so potentially damaging? My personal opinion is that it's not so much an issue of trust than of emotional blackmail (because your partner expressed interest in it, not because you proactively decided to give them one). And how comfortable people are in their own skin these days. I know people (esp rich ones) who book down an entire clothing store, stripping down and trying out clothes. Yea Paris Hilton level. But this is probably my bias. It's not a topic usually discussed in the open after all. Although it still shocks me how your partners best friends eventually find out everything about you ...
