i'm sick and tired of looking for some good 'research', clicking on an image of a cute girl who clearly has (modest) breasts and then seeing that "yaoi" tag
Don't read and don't think about it. Why should I? Regarding, lesbians - it only looks good in videos, porn, etc. In real life - ugh. It is usually "woman looks so bad that she decided to find another woman"
It's the fear of your own sexuality. Reading yaoi might get you to like yaoi if you relate with some of the characters. You/I do not want to become gay and so I/you will not read yaoi. Tldr: weak sexual identity fears becoming gay from yaoi novels.
I got no problem with that , as long as im not affected by such a thing. I am however, somehow annoyed that the majority of new novels that look decent at first glance have tags such as "yaoi".
I only read one Yaoi novel on purpose, since it was basically Side Character Transmigration but with Yaoi. Dropped it a while ago because I got spoiled and found out the overarching plot made no sense. I think I have one or two more in my backlog though, since they have unique plots or elements I haven't seen in other novels. I'll read anything if the plots unique and interesting enough, with a few exceptions (NTR, Mpreg, Omegaverse, Cannabilism, etc)
I’m not really interested in it so I’m indifferent to it, I understand others enjoy reading it just like how I enjoy things that others may not. Bit odd feeling such strong emotions for something you supposedly “don’t care about”.
it creeps me out for the same unknown reason like you have. my friend used to send me those stuff just for joke, asking me if i'm willing to be the one on top or bottom if i'm a gay(yeah, she's rotten) well, i'd rather took some action on her and proof i'm a straight one as fast as possible^^
Yes and I’m also annoyed that the MAJORITY OF ALL the novels that look decent at first glance has tags such as “harem”.
I think people tend to make boxes or categories in their brains to put concepts into. If you haven't really been exposed to gay relationships, I think people may have a hard time processing it because it doesn't fit into the normal box. With exposure I'm sure the feeling will diminish somewhat.
I'm glad the yaoi tag is there that way i know what to avoid. nothing worse than getting in to a story then two guy start doing each other
It's just not something I'd rather deal with. So I tend to not read anything with the tag. And I don't think it is unnatural to not want to picture 2 guys going at it sexually if you aren't interested in that kind of thing. Just like how the idea of two gals going at it might not be interesting to gals.
I don't care on paper. I've seen some great stories with homosexual partners. However as for the actual genre, it's straight ass. 99% of the stories are more shallow than any isekai and more self righteous raping than any xianxia. The genre as a whole is fucking terrible, but I imagine there are some gems out there I'm missing due to writing it all off.
Kind of. Think of it like being OCD and being in a dirty room. Something just isn't right for you and it's messing with your worldview
